Madisyn couldnt afford to get into trouble with him—just not now, not after getting back with Joey. And definitely not when she had to consider the fact that he would soon be her boss.

Yet, her body was drawn to him like a magnet, and she struggled to resist the urge to finally give in to her instincts.

It was a battle of rationality versus heart. She sighed, her breath shallow, as their eyes locked in a gaze that burned with unspoken desire. His hands slid over hers, guiding her as if she were exploring familiar yet uncharted territory. And damn, if it didn't feel good.

"You really do have a nice, gentle touch," he murmured, his deep voice softening. His gaze lingered, but it was his body she couldn't ignore. He was so hard against her jeans, and the pressure made her freeze. She didn't dare move, afraid that any shift might provoke a reaction from his... body.
