Zina barely had the chance to process the words when a flash of red fountain spilled, splashing against her dark dress and her face.

The other woman had moved so fast that Zina only had the chance to track how everything had ended, possessing no memory of how it had begun in the first place.

The ground beneath them thrummed as Epsilons of the BloodMoon Pack surrounded them, claws and silver weapons bared against them. Their own Epsilons stood on guard too, their weapons on the ready.
