Part of Daemon's information ring in the East was the famed Red Sisters. An organization of young women who served as assassins, and in Yaren's own words, high-class prostitutes.

Daemon had acquired the use of them as an information route three years ago when the Elder Sister of the organization had approached Daemon and made an offer.

In exchange for eliminating the Scarlet Mother—the leader of the Red Sisters—the Elder Sister would offer Daemon half the help of her organization. Daemon, on getting the information of the depraved ways of the Red Sisters had no qualms ordering Shadow to take out the stuck up Scarlet Mother who spearheaded most of the deprivation.
