How to find Kaido was the biggest problem now.
In Gangplank's last memory before he fell into a coma, he only saw Kaido and the others leaving in a small boat, but he did not see which direction they had gone.
In the vast sea, it was truly difficult to locate someone.
Larson gazed at the sea in the distance, and an idea suddenly came to his mind. He said to Whitebeard, "I'm going out. You wait for me here for a while."
Whitebeard didn't ask too much.
Larson turned to Marco again. "Take care of Plank."
Marco replied, "Don't worry."
Neither Whitebeard nor Marco asked why Larson wanted to go out at this time, but they both guessed that Larson's sudden departure was related to Kaido.
Larson donned a black cloak and hat, obscuring his face from outsiders.
Once he disembarked, he walked in the direction of his last memory.
When he finally stopped, he found himself at the naval branch on the island.
"Stop! Who are you?"
Larson was halted by a Marine holding a firearm.
The navy soldier looked cautious and said, "Don't go any further; take off your hat."
Larson lifted his head, revealing his handsome face hidden beneath the hood.
When the navy soldier saw Larson's striking good looks, his wariness faded considerably. He thought to himself that such a handsome guy must be a good person.
Consequently, his tone became gentler as he kindly advised, " this is the navy branch. No one can get close to it."
A gentle smile appeared on Larson's face. "Hello, little brother. I'm not some idle person. I have something serious to discuss. I'm here specifically to see your commander. You can call him out for me."
The navy soldier scratched his head. "Then wait a moment."
Larson found it amusing that in this day and age, there were still navy personnel who didn't recognize him.
Logically, the photo of him and Whitebeard should have been circulated throughout the naval base by now, yet this young soldier seemed unaware of who he was.
The navy soldier took out the Den Den Mushi in front of Larson. After a few seconds, an impatient voice came through. "What's the matter?"
The navy soldier said, "Ensign, a handsome uncle has come and said he wants to see you."
The navy lieutenant replied, "Am I visible to anyone? If not, tell him to get lost."
The navy soldier glanced at Larson quietly, then said in a lower voice, "This guy is really handsome. Are you really not going to meet him?"
The navy lieutenant laughed and scolded, "It's none of my business to be handsome."
With that, he hung up the phone.
The navy soldier sighed, looking at Larson. "You also heard our second lieutenant; he said you couldn't see him, so you better leave quickly."
"Bro," Larson smiled. "Can you give me the Den Den Mushi?"
"No," the navy soldier rejected, but then felt his tone was too harsh. He added politely, "We are also disciplined, but if you have anything to say, I can help you convey it to our second lieutenant."
He swore that he agreed to help because Larson was so handsome.
Larson thought for a moment. "Tell him my name is Ram Larson."
"Ram Larson?"
The navy soldier felt that name was familiar, but he couldn't recall where he had heard it before.
"You wait."
The navy soldier dialed the Den Den Mushi again. This time, the call was answered, and the ensign sounded noticeably irked.
The second lieutenant's cold voice came from the phone. "Soldier, if you don't give me a satisfactory reason, just wait to be punished!"
The navy soldier shook his hands, almost in tears.
He regretted ever meddling in someone else's business.
Suddenly, he noticed Larson looking at him with encouraging eyes.
Taking a gamble one last time, he gritted his teeth and said into the Den Den Mushi, "Second Lieutenant, the person who came to you said his name is Ram Larson."
"I don't even know Ram Ra... what did he say his name was!!!"
The second lieutenant exclaimed.
It was rare for a soldier to see an ensign lose control, and he couldn't understand why a name could change the ensign's attitude so drastically.
He wasn't foolish. By this time, he had realized that the handsome man standing in front of him was probably not an ordinary person. With a sense of urgency, he repeated, "He said his name was Ram Larson."
"Stay where you are; I'll be there soon!"
The second lieutenant's tone turned serious. The navy soldiers had never seen their second lieutenant appear so intensely focused before.
He couldn't help but start to imagine: could this be a commander sent from headquarters?
Once the phone call ended, the navy soldier smiled at Larson. "Our second lieutenant said he would be here soon."
Larson smiled back. "Thank you."
"Hey, hey, wait."
The navy soldier, smiling, suddenly thought of how the second lieutenant had reacted to Larson's name. His tone grew cautious as he added, "How about you come in first and take a rest?"
Larson asked, "Can I?"
The navy soldier replied, "ofcourse, you're more than welcome. Just treat this as your own home!"
Larson smiled faintly. "Then I'll take you up on that."
The navy soldier opened the door and moved a chair over for Larson. Seeing this service, Larson almost wanted to invite him to join the Whitebeard Pirates right then and there. Luckily, he held back, reminding himself that the soldier was a navy member, and he shouldn't be having such thoughts.
"You take a seat first; the lieutenant will be here soon."
"Okay."
Larson sat there casually. Even though this was a naval branch, he felt as though he had returned to his own home.
The navy soldiers observing this scene became increasingly convinced that Larson was the commander sent from above.
At that moment, Larson spotted a man running toward them from a distance.
Seeing the man, the navy soldier excitedly pointed him out. "That man is our second lieutenant!"
But before he finished speaking, dozens of Marines suddenly appeared, surrounding Larson with their guns raised. They moved quickly, positioning themselves around him and the navy soldier.
"Hey, hey, hey! What are you doing? It's me! Put your guns away quickly!"
The navy soldier's face turned pale. No one would remain calm when faced with so many weapons pointed at them.
The most alarming part was that the people surrounding him were claiming to be his companions, but now they seemed to not recognize him and were pointing their weapons at him.
However, he accidentally caught a glimpse of Larson's expression. Shocked, he saw a face imbued with calmness. How could anyone remain so composed while being surrounded by guns?
In that moment, he realized that this man might not be a commander sent by the headquarters at all; he could be a dangerous person!
At that time, the navy ensign approached and looked at Larson with a serious expression. "Larson, why are you here instead of staying with the Whitebeard Pirates?"
Whitebeard Pirates?
The moment the navy soldier heard that name, his legs weakened, and he collapsed to the ground in fear.
As a Marine, how could he not recognize this legendary pirate group that had emerged recently?
Suddenly, he recalled the name Larson had mentioned earlier.
Ram Larson!
He remembered that there was indeed a man named Ram Larson in the Whitebeard Pirates. Could it be...
When he looked at Larson again, his gaze had completely transformed.
He never dreamed that the handsome man standing before him would be the vice-captain of the Whitebeard Pirates.
The pirate labeled as an absolute danger, the vice-captain of the Whitebeard Pirates, Ram Larson, who the navy headquarters had specifically instructed to avoid at all costs!
