章 53: THE CONFESSION

ELI'S POV

As we settled in the apartment with the takeout food surrounding us, Wang Chen stared at me and was ready to hear all the details about my trip. I was hesitant at first, but I could not keep the feelings I felt for Armand bottled up and Wang Chen was the closest person that I had shared most of my secrets with. We had met on campus and had clicked on and since then had vowed to be each other's strength and comfort for the rest of our lives.

"I, uh… when I was in Park City," I started, but the words caught in my throat. I looked away, unable to hold his gaze any longer. "I slept with someone"

There was a beat of silence before Wang Chen spoke, his voice softer now. "Just tell me."

"I slept with someone," I blurted out, the words tumbling from my mouth before I could stop them. My chest felt tight like I was suffocating under the weight of it all. I swallowed hard, the bile rising in my throat. "It was Armand James.
