After spending about half an hour at the Shrine, Eriri and her group finally said their goodbyes, leaving behind a reluctant Yuri and her sister, Hikari. They were set to stroll leisurely from Tokyo to Kyoto, with no rush in mind. As for how Yuri would report back to the History Compilation Committee, Eriri didn't care—any headaches would be theirs to deal with.
It was almost 10 AM by the time they left the shrine. The streets were busier than when they arrived, with more vehicles and pedestrians, especially since it was the weekend, and students were out enjoying their day off.
Eriri, holding the hands of Shinobu and Athena, walked along the sidewalk while Liliana, ever the vigilant knight, guarded her from the side. Though no one in this world could harm Eriri, Liliana still took her duty seriously, constantly scanning their surroundings with a sharp eye.
"Come on, Liliana, we're just out for fun. No need to be so serious," Eriri said, letting go of Shinobu and Athena's hands and stepping in front of Liliana. She patted Liliana's silver head affectionately, causing the knight to stiffen slightly in embarrassment.
"I... I understand, Eriri-sama," Liliana replied, blushing despite being used to Eriri's affectionate head pats by now.
For a brief moment, Liliana's mind wandered, imagining a novel titled The Forbidden Love Between a Noble Lady and Her Loyal Servant! She had already conceived several such stories during the past few days but hadn't yet written any of them down.
"Good girl," Eriri chuckled, giving Liliana's hair a final tousle before returning to Shinobu and Athena.
Without missing a beat, she took Athena's small hand again, but when she reached for Shinobu, the little vampire jumped in front of her, arms spread wide, with a gleeful smile on her face.
"Eriri, I want a hug!" Shinobu demanded, her voice filled with playful energy.
Her actions were so natural and devoid of any embarrassment that it was clear this had become routine for the past few days. And of course, Eriri had no intention of refusing. After all, who could say no to such a cute, sweet-smelling golden-haired vampire loli?
"Alright then," Eriri said, bending down and scooping Shinobu up with practiced ease, placing her hands under the girl's small bottom for support.
Shinobu instantly wrapped her arms around Eriri's neck and her legs around Eriri's slim waist, snuggling contently in her embrace.
"You're far too old to keep asking for cuddles. Have some shame," Athena remarked, not missing an opportunity to poke fun at Shinobu. Despite seeing this scene play out numerous times, she couldn't help but throw in her two cents.
From Eriri's arms, Shinobu lifted her head and let out her signature laugh, "Ka ka ka, Athena, you're just jealous."
"Ridiculous! Why would I be jealous of such a trivial thing?" Athena retorted, turning her head in disdain.
"Oh? Are you saying the jealousy I hear in your voice is just my imagination?" Shinobu teased, a sly grin on her face.
"That's exactly what it is. Perhaps your mind has regressed along with your body," Athena shot back.
"Ka ka ka! It seems your title as the goddess of wisdom was purely made up, huh?"
"…"
Eriri ignored their bickering, as it had become a regular occurrence over the past few days. They always argued about harmless matters, so she didn't bother intervening.
As they approached a busy street, the sight of Eriri carrying Shinobu and the overall charm of the group drew the attention of every passerby. People couldn't help but repeatedly exclaim "kawaii" at the adorable scene.
The group, however, paid no mind to the attention and continued chatting happily. But just as they were about to cross an intersection, a voice suddenly echoed in Eriri's mind, one full of excitement.
"Eriri-sama, I've detected the presence of another chat group!"
"Oh? We're really that lucky?" Eriri came to an abrupt stop, a look of surprise flashing across her face.
"What's up?" Shinobu asked, sensing the shift in Eriri's demeanor. Liliana and Athena, also sensing something amiss, halted and looked curiously at her.
"Something good just happened!" Eriri beamed, planting a kiss on Shinobu's cheek. "Remember that Villains Chat Group we were tracking? Turns out we just stumbled upon it while strolling around! Talk about serendipity!"
To prevent the Villains Chat Group from fleeing, Eriri immediately cast a space-locking spell over a 20-meter radius, along with an illusionary barrier. This made sure no one within the area would leave or notice what was happening, while also blocking external interference.
Though Eriri's absolute power meant the chat group had virtually no chance of escaping, she didn't want to risk any unforeseen complications, especially since Villains chat group had sneaky ways of slipping away unnoticed. But with her precautions in place, there was no way out for it today. It would be absorbed into Eriri's chat group, Little Skirt.
"Oh, the runaway chat group is here? This really is great news!" Shinobu exclaimed, clearly excited.
"Other chat groups?" Liliana and Athena asked, intrigued by this revelation. They had heard about Eriri's group before and dreamed of one day joining it themselves, but this was the first time they had heard about a villainous counterpart.
"Yes, that group has been trying to escape, which is the main reason I've been sticking around this world," Eriri explained casually.
Now that she had the situation fully under control, Eriri took the time to fill Liliana and Athena in on the details regarding the Villains Chat Group. Both were shocked to learn that Marquis Voban had become a target for its members and that his death had been worth a massive 1 million points in her chat system. Liliana, in particular, was amazed by how easily Eriri had dealt with someone of Voban's stature.
With the perimeter set and Little Skirt narrowing down the location, Eriri quickly spotted the target. When she finally laid eyes on the chat group's current host, a strange expression crossed her face.
"Well, this is… interesting."
Shaking her head with a wry smile, she walked toward the target at a leisurely pace, cradling Shinobu in her arms and motioning for the others to follow.
Within moments, they stopped in front of a confused high school boy—none other than the protagonist of Campione, Kusanagi Godou, who had been chosen as the Villains Chat Group's temporary host.
Standing beside him was one of his classmates, who tugged at Godou's sleeve and whispered, "Hey, Godou, do you know these girls?"
The sudden appearance of these beautiful strangers had left the classmate completely awestruck, especially by Eriri and Shinobu. Even their school's beauty queen, Yuri Mariya, couldn't hold a candle to these girls.
"I don't know them," Godou quickly responded, equally taken aback.
"Uh... can I help you with something?" Godou asked nervously, his tension apparent. Meanwhile, his usually outgoing classmate shrank back, too intimidated by the overwhelming presence of the newcomers to say a word.
Eriri didn't bother answering. With a single glance, both Godou and his friend were frozen in place, their eyes becoming lifeless as they stood like puppets. Around them, the people in the vicinity lost all awareness of the situation, thanks to Eriri's concealment spell.
Letting go of Shinobu with one hand, Eriri raised her free hand and pointed two fingers toward Godou's forehead. A stream of pure cosmic energy surged from her fingers into his mind, quickly locating the Villains Chat Group hiding within.
Inside Godou's mind, the chat group appeared as a small, dark orb. It immediately sensed the intrusion and began to thrash about violently, trying to escape. But no matter how much it struggled, it remained trapped within Eriri's cosmic energy. Had it been a High-Level Intermediate chat group, it might have had a chance to break free, but it was only a High-Level Elementary chat group, leaving it with no hope.
"Are you ready, Little Skirt?" Eriri asked telepathically.
"I've been ready for a long time! Go ahead and bring it in, Eriri-sama!" Little Skirt replied eagerly.
With that, Eriri pulled the dark orb from Godou's mind and directed it into her own consciousness. Once inside, the dark orb began trembling as it neared Little Skirt, a radiant white orb that was its complete opposite. Despite its struggles, the dark orb could do nothing but await its fate.
Without hesitation, Eriri fused the dark orb into Little Skirt. The two orbs merged seamlessly, the black and white swirling together for a moment before the dark orb was completely absorbed, leaving Little Skirt as a pure white orb once more.
In the real world, Eriri's body relaxed as she received Little Skirt's joyful message in her mind.
"Eriri-sama, I'm evolving! I'll need to sleep for a few days to complete the process, but once I wake up, I'll process the points we gained from the Villains Chat Group."
"Good. Take your time," Eriri responded.
As soon as the conversation ended, the white orb dimmed and fell silent, entering a deep slumber. Just as it did, two notifications rang out within the chat group:
[Ding! The Villains Chat Group has been successfully recovered. Multiverse Same-Sex ♀ Friendship Group is now preparing to evolve!]
[The evolution process will take seven days. During this period, the chat group will be temporarily closed. Upon completion of the evolution, all members will receive bonus points and access to new features.]
