"Cousin Vance!" Astrid shouted and then immediately went to where Vance was.

"Astrid, I'm glad you're alright!" Vance said and hugged Astrid for a bit before letting her go.

"Yeah, I'm okay now," Astrid said.

"It's really good to see you guys," Vance said with a relieved smile.

"It's also good to see you, cousin. Is mom and dad okay?"

As soon as Vance heard the question, his expression quickly darkened.

"I'm sorry, but Aunt didn't survive and became a zombie. Uncle is okay, and he's still in the military," Vance said with sadness.

"Mom, is she gone? She's really gone?" Astrid asked while looking a little dazed.

Vance didn't reply and just hugged Astrid. After being hugged for a while, Astrid finally cried.

Vance just hugged Astrid until she stopped crying.

Calvin at the side was also visibly sad but didn't cry. Treyton didn't show any obvious signs of sadness.
