章 8: Inner World
After taking a small break Zane went to his next class being the inner world class. He had heard that there were ways of upgrading the inner world. Increasing time, adding more troops, boosts everything and he needed all of it.
Walking in the hall he arrived early entering the classroom. Inside he saw Nellie, Sara and Coby. The rest were off doing something else.
Taking a seat at the left side of the classroom he sighed and waited. The teacher arrived and it was surprisingly the Vice Principal. He stood still at the podium waiting for the other students.
Eventually every student came and Veronica took a seat beside him.
"Hello again, welcome to your arguably most important class of the schedule. In this lesson I will be showcasing the various items able to upgrade the inner world and how to develop your world." He said not wasting any time.
"Now, every hour in our world is a day in the inner world. Everyone starts off with a race of 100. These are your starting troops, they will reproduce eventually and increase the population. However this is very slow and will take a while therefore people opt to use the time crystal often found on millions of different planets in mines. Our earth has one too.
The time crystal is a small blue crystal capable of forwarding 10 years in the inner world. However they are expensive, the school grants one every month to our elite class meaning you guys. Therefore use it carefully." He explained holding the tiny blue crystal in his hand.
Zane simply scoffed at this, he had the heavens and earth capable of producing humans on its own. He basically has a rare relic already!
"The next subject we will be discussing are relics. These are items produced by the various different energies are capable of boosting the inner world. Stronger troops, better fertility, better density it is all possible alongside other features.
These relics can be found in the nature or the internet where they are sold." The Vice Principal explained before showing a relic.
"This is the Green Fertility Tower, I personally took it from a demon some time ago and it boosts birth production speed by 100% alongside twice the Fertility." He said the green tower floating in the air.
"Now world density, the only one here with the best density is Zane. His inner world will have higher chances of producing stronger troops alongside giving them faster gathering rates." The Vice Principal pointed out Zane sitting down.
His classmates glanced at him in envy before focusing on the Vice Principal.
"Zane I am guessing your troops has already gone to the awakened stage no?" He continued questioning the man.
"No comment." Zane quickly replied brushing it off.
He glanced at Zane for a moment before continuing.
"Now to the diameter of the inner world, every world is different and the diameter grows with each stage. Generally awakened staged like yourselves will only have a inner world of 20km -80km in diameter. At hunter stage your inner world would expand reaching 80km -900km in diameter and the rate goes up.
However it is also possible to increase the diameter with items. Such as relics as I mentioned before or finding a peculiar treasure called the Earth Tear, it should be able to expand the inner world for over 10km." He concluded.
"Now do not be discouraged as the richer individuals will most likely have better prospects, but it is very hard to find these items and only the top associations, mercenaries or organizations have them." He said encouraging the students.
"Anyways there are also various ways of ruling the inner world, do you want to proclaim yourself as God then do so, others are kings in their worlds while others maybe do not interfere. But the point is you should have a efficient system at gathering loyal troops. Whether it be starting a cult or simply showing your powers it doesn't matter." He finally concluded the yapping session.
"This class will focus on the development of the inner world, it is also fine to not reveal anything if that's what you'd like." The Vice Principal concluded before revealing some items.
"Our school will provide you with one Time Crystal, a Earth Tear or Relic of choice for attending our school." He suddenly revealed the items.
Immediately the lower ranked individuals got excited alongside the top four too.
Zane thought quickly and decided to get a relic. He didn't need the earth tear now since he had the largest diameter out of anyone and the time crystal was useless as the heavens and earth produced humans for him and they were only limited to the 10th Qi Condensation stage anyways.
All of Zanes classmates stood up and approached the items floating in the air. His eyes were set on the few relics on the right.
Jessica and the other top 4 took the Earth Tear together swiftly making their decision.
Zane watched them with pity, his earth was continuously expanding the stronger the heavens got. It was simply broken.
"Vice Principal, I will choose a relic." His voice eventually sounded the other students engrossed in the time crystals and earth tears suddenly remembered the relics.
"I thought so, which one would you like?" He asked approaching Zane.
Zane inspected every one of them carefully, he saw a small sword statue, a small saber statue, some kind of array, another tower, some animal and finally a holographic cube.
"Just explain all of them, please." Zane eventually sounded after thinking for a bit.
"Sure. Here is the White Grade Blue Sword Statue, it increases sword mastery in the inner world for 20% alongside a 5% chance of a newly born troop being a sword genius." He explained the first relic holding it in his hand.
"Wow.." Zane was actually surprised at the low grade but great benefits..
Then he took the saber relic.
"This is the White Grade Black Saber Statue, it is the same as the sword relic however saberwise." He quickly concluded before grabbing another.
"Here we have the White Grade Void Energy Gathering Array, it boosts the density in the inner world by 20%. Obviously not suitable for you." The Vice Principal said holding the purple array.
He put it down before grabbing another.
"This tower is the White Grade Many Sword Attack Formation. It's basically a sword formation you can unleash in the real world however your troops will use it. Around 99 swords will be summoned capable of protecting the troops or attacking depending on the user." He said holding the tower.
"Ooh.." Zane definitely would consider taking this relic however he would give the others a chance too.
"Now to the Green Grade Silver-Bear Artifact, this thing is capable of producing intelligent bears who can be used as troops, pets, rides anything really. It will produce one silver bear every 3 days in the real world meaning 72 days in the inner world." He said before finally moving onto the mysterious cube.
"Now lastly is this gradeless cube, I haven't managed to find out much about it however it is sealed by something. Try your luck and maybe it will turn into something good." The Vice Principal said really inspecting the holographic cube with his warrior stage aura.
Zane pondered for a moment over all the choices not able to think about it quickly.
"Take the cube." The girly voice inside him suddenly said.
"Really? It's sealed I can't even use it, you know." Zane said inspecting the cube more thoroughly this time.
"That is not a normal cube, I sense a presence of otherworldly in it's seal. It has most likely been lost for a long time." The heaven will concluded.
"But it's still sealed..." Zane said not really believing her..
"Just take it idiot, in the future you can get relics from exploring planets and killing those from the Abyss Realm." The girly voice said almost shouting in his head.
"Fine.." with a sigh Zane took the cube.
"I'll be taking this thing Vice Principal.." he said.
"Goodluck even I don't know anything about it. Might prove to be worthy in the future." He nodded towards Zane before focusing on the other students.
Taking the cube Zane inspected it again. It had some sort of metallic surface even though it was holographic for some reason...
Zane went back to his seat and tossed the cube into his inner world before focusing on the other students. No one took interest in the low grade relics and picked either the Time Crystal or Earth Tear to help their potential.
Obviously he didn't care at all and just waited for the principal to proceed with the lesson.
"Now that you have made your choice we will resume the lesson." His voice sounded.
"We will be going through leadership and commanding theories." He said.
The lesson continued for about 1 hour and 30 minutes and the Vice Principal dived deep into the theories...
After an exhausting class most students left but Zane stayed just as he did in the sparring hall.
"Vice Principal..." he said kind of embarrassed.
"Just say what you need Zane.." The Vice Principal questioned.
"I would like go apply for a extra lesson, I posses the space element as my gift.." Zane said to him a bit resistant to revealing the gift.
However to become stronger it must happen.
"Space Element?" The Vice Principal was a bit surprised. Not anyone could receive such a great gift.
"Understood, I will get a instructor for you. However in the future do not forget this favor." The man looked at Zane with a glare accepting his request.
With a sigh of relief he left the classroom a bit bored. This day was too boring. His best friend Lu Long was in another class and Veronica barely even spoke. His other classmates were even worse,
"That Jacob might be good though." Zane suddenly thought.
In the cultivation world he was always alone not being able to trust a single cultivator but now having this Zanes memories he missed the company.
Shaking his head Zane headed to the next class, meditation. Boring but important.
Arriving at the Qi gathering meditation room he sat down and siphoned the Qi to Heavens Will. His personal strength will most likely halt for now but it is what it is.
"You know I'm hurting my potential for you?" Zane questioned the girl in his head.
"..." she was silent not responding to the comment.
"It must be done." She eventually replied in a softer voice.
Zane nodded and cultivated until school ended.
