章 30: The god of misfortune (2)

Dwayne did as he was asked. A small bead of sweat trickled from his forehead. Soaking his brown curly hair, making his side profile even more attractive. 

As he reached the second floor, he noticed there are not many people. Most of the small stalls at the center don't have customers. The saleslady were sitting, squeezed between the small space as they were surrounded by the products they sell. 

But their expressions were ominous. The first person that caught Dwayne's eyes is the lady with hijab at the first stall. She was holding her phone while silently sobbing. Her face was filled with tears and she desperately wiped them away.

The person next to her were sitting still. And she seemed to be in a daze. 

As Dwayne stepped forward, he sensed something change in the atmosphere. All of a sudden, he was remembering the moments back when he was a child.
