Sadiki swallowed hard, unsure how to answer Drystan's question. His heart pounded in his chest, the weight of the secrets he held making it hard to breathe.

"Nothing really," he finally said, his voice quieter than usual. He avoided Drystan's gaze, not wanting to give away the turmoil he was feeling.

Drystan wasn't convinced. He gently grabbed Sadiki by the shoulders and turned him so they were face-to-face. "You've been acting strange ever since the royal wedding," Drystan said softly, but there was a trace of hurt in his voice. "Do you still have feelings for Eirik?"

Sadiki felt a pang of guilt at the question, and he quickly shook his head, desperate to reassure Drystan. "No, of course not," he blurted out, his words tumbling out faster than he intended.
