Leng Yichen smoothed Shu Qiqi's brow with his hand before reaching out to pinch her face.

Disturbed in her sleep, Shu Qiqi pouted displeasedly and tried to swat the disruptive hand on her face.

Smack.

The crisp sound startled her, and she immediately opened her eyes.

She was met with Leng Yichen's dark pupils.

The man stood up calmly, "Sister Cha said you went to sleep without eating and was worried. She asked me to call you down for dinner."

Shu Qiqi's eyelashes fluttered slightly, "Oh, when did you get back?"

She stood up, wondering what the man had been doing to her face just now for it to feel so painful.

"Are you concerned about me?"

Leng Yichen looked at her with a heavy gaze.

Shu Qiqi stiffened, unsure of how to respond, "Have you been drinking?"

The man stepped closer to her, "Answer my previous question?"

"No, I was just asking casually."

Shu Qiqi's indifference made the man let out a self-deprecating laugh.
