章 126: Chapter 126 : A Summon From Elders
Shika finally woke up in the hospital ceiling above him, after many days he finally showed a rare face of laziness and disinterest which suited a Nara. He checked on his body before anything, he could only hope that everything went just as he planned.
Which they did, at least he was conscious until the attack landed.
He knew that this might happen, so he poured all his chakra into that attack. Just left a little behind in the form of a shadow clone he made earlier to Make sure he didn't die out of complete chakra exhaustion.
Sighing, he slowly got up, moving his still-tired body. But as soon as he got up there was a notification in front of him.

'Kage level?
Are you serious right now, that was the final boss-level threat I beat, what the system is on about.' Shika immediately grumbled even before he read the rewards he was getting.
But after a little while he remembers how his system works. There wasn't a reward option available for killing someone stronger than a normal Kage.
There was no super Kage-level or god-level option there. So, it makes sense that he will get rewards for killing a Kage.
Sigh'
After sighing a little he actually looked into the rewards and noticed a very buggy option in that list. There was no one option which he found as interesting.
He doesn't need Bayakugan, that's pointless, he already has Sharingan and that was enough. But Rinnegan, Now that was something he wanted.
That was another cheat-level eye in the serious and an evolutionary part of Sharingan. So he believes that it will suit him well too.
But the chakra was also something he wanted. Too bad he can only choose one.
He contemplated this, he was lacking in the chakra department big time right now. But he can get that later, it's not that hard to get more chakra. If nothing he can just chuck a Biju inside him if he has no other option.
But Rinnegan.
Rinnegan, that is not something which he wishes to give up.
And that was just a small reason for not taking the Chakra. Though he can get power but it might take time to get stronger with chakra alone. However, with how things have progressed, it needs power quickly.
That why he even bother about coming up with a plan which will take away his Nue's Lightning to beat Mahoraga in the first place.
He needed immediate power currently.
So all that in mind he selected the Rinnegan option.
And the next second a burning sensation occupied his eyes, it felt like his eyes were on fire. It was a little uncomfortable but he endured it.

"Brat, do you know what kind of scared you gave us all? Yoshino Nara has been breathing down my neck to see you." Tsunade later on found out that he was acting as still being unconscious to lazy around more.
Too bad for Shika honestly, he was able to get at least one day of free time for himself.
But as soon as he heard the name of his aunt, he was out of bed, He couldn't do anything, that woman was scarier than Madara Uchiha sometimes.
Sigh… women.
"Shika Nara, the elders have ordered you to visit them as soon as you wake up." But just when he was laminating his fate when he got back to the Nara Compound, a voice came, making him frown. (Sorry I was calling it Nara Land all this time, it just sounded good to me but whatever…I was just being stubborn.)
"Who is asking for him." It was Tsuande who asked this time, she knew those elders were up to no good.
"It's the elders," Anbu said he was respectful since he was actually from Anbu and not from Roots.
"Which elder." Tsunade almost growls.
"Hmm all three of them."
"All of them, what are those Fossils up to now," Tsunade said aloud loud. Making Shika almost choke as he usually calls them that. Tsunade may have picked that up from him.
The Anbu by now was sweating, Senju Tsunade could call even the Sage an old bastard, becuase she is Tsunade Senju, but he was only an ordinary shinobi, if someone attahted this incident with his name then he was over.
"I will go then." Shika got up, though he didn't want to give even a second of his life to those fossils but he had no other option, he was after all just a normal Chunin.
"I will go with you," Tsunade said out of nowhere. Shika looked at her, not sure what the woman was thinking but ultimately this was better. If she is there then at least there was someone to back him up if those elders bring out something outrageous out of nowhere.

Amidst all this, the village again started to rebuild itself after the amount of destruction only one enemy did.
News of this was quickly sent to the other villagers as well.
At first, because of the death of Sarutobi Hiruzen, the Third Hokage, the world was already in turmoil. It has been more than a decade since the last war.
Ever since the founding of the hidden villages, there are been 3 great shinobi wars, which started after the death of Hashirama Senju.
It was surprising that in all three Konoha somehow became the central player.
The reason why Konoha is the target of so many villages is because of its rich fertile land and natural resources.
What was more surprising was that all three times Konoha came out as the victory in the war. Countless sacrifices were made to achieve this but there's no doubt to say Konoha is the strongest hidden village after such an impressive record.
But that was a thing of the past, many of the Konoha's talent and the reason why they won the war previously are no longer there.
Uzushio who used to be Konoha's alliance at one point but it's gone now.
The two founding clans of Konoha, both Senju and Uchiha are gone.
Talented individuals like Whitefang and Orochimaru are gone.
Konoha right now is nothing but a shadow of his past glory.
The only thing which was practically stopping others was the presence of the Third Hokage.
But now that he has gone. Things have turned troublesome.
Other villages who were losers of the past wars now want to change that.
This is the best time for them to set another war in motion.
But they didn't act, only because there are still some powerful people still exist in Konoha.
Jiraiya is back in the village and so is Tsunade. This was what was stopping them from taking action. They also have no idea of the power of the current Jinchuriki of the village.
But now just one enemy ended up entering the village, he alone was able to beat all the powerful shinobi of the village.
Of course, others won't understand how powerful this one enemy was, after all until they don't see his power, they won't believe it.
All they think is that Konoha is weak. That it couldn't stop just one person no matter how powerful from infiltrating and wrecking so much destruction.
And finally, more than anything, Konoha still haven't picked a Hokage, which shows how divided the internal ruling of the village is.
Trouble was already brewing…

章 127: Chapter 127 : I Am No Push Over
By the time Shika and Tsunade reached the Hokage Office, which those elders shamelessly used to manage the village's affairs, they saw two Anbu stopping them from entering the office.
"Tsunade Sama, elders only want to meet Shika Nara." Said one of the Anbu.
Shika only by this much knew that the person in front of him was not an Anbu but a member of Root. It was evident becuase there was no way any Anbu would dare to say these things to her...
Just as he was thinking about this, the gate of the office door alongside with the same Root Member was punched hard by Tsunade, breaking both and them inside the Office.
"Please don't wreck more things, the village is suffering from repairing funds as it is." Shika just sighed and muttered to Tsunade but she just snorted towards him.
"Huh, even my teacher never dared to keep me away from entering his office, what does he think of himself, The Daimiyo ?" Tsunade said, completely disregarding what Shika just said.
By now, breaking the door was almost a habit for her. She can't gamble in peace if she doesn't do it.
"Tsunade, what are you doing here." Asked one of the elders, his name was Koharu.
Out of all the elders, Tsunade particularly didn't like this old hag. Mainly because she handles the Konoha medical-nin and hospital.
Of course, Danzo is an exception, he was universally disliked by all.
In the past, there were countless suggestions that she made, only to be turned down by her.
"I should be asking the same, why you are using the Hokage office. Is there any scarcity of rooms here so that you three have to stay here." Tsunade narrowed her eyes and asked.
"Hmph... Tsunade, we are just using this place for some time, only until the next Hokage is decided. Say if you are willing to become the Hokage then we can clear this place out for you immediately." said Homura, shutting Tsunade up.
Though none of the elders here have the power to do that to Tsunade but Homura always have been good with words.
"Don't talk nonsense, I am not becoming Hokage I have told you this already. Tell me why you summon this brat here. He is still my patient. If you don't have any important thing to talk with him then I will take him back." Tsunade huffed and said with a Haughty tone.
"We have reason to summon but why you are here, do you have something to say," Danzo asked, not wanting Tsunade to say here while they talked with Shika.
"Reason! he is my patient, that is enough reason for me to be here. If you want to ask him something then do so. I am staying." Tsunade replied, particularly hostile towards Danzo.
If not for this man, then she wouldn't even entertain the fact that she was one of the candidates for the next Hokage.
Anyone can become a good Hokage, anyone besides one Danzo Shimura.
In this, pretty much all agree, even those two elders.
Seeing there was no way to change Tsunade's mind, they just sighed, making her go out wasn't worth the trouble.
"Shika Nara, you were the one who killed the Enemy who infiltrated Konoha. Tell us how you did it when many of the other shinobi were helpless against him." Danzo asked with his usual cold tone. Glaring at Shika he was trying to put more pressure on him.
"It's a special technique based on Chidori I developed," Shika replied with just as cold an attitude as the bastard was showing him.
"Are you trying to tell me that you a 13-year-old boy who is just a Chunin developed a technique which was able to beat an enemy who two of the Sannin weren't even able to," Koharu said with a sharp tone. Though her words had a mockery in them.
Shika already knew that these old fossils were up to no good. They especially call him here to give him trouble.
"Yes." Shika didn't plan to play their game. He just answered as nonchalantly as possible.
"Proof it." Immediately one of them asked, it was Danzo of course.
"Why ?" Shika raises one of his eyebrows in a questioning tone.
"Because we command you to." Koharu take it over.
"Command? Only Hokage have the authority to directly command one of the village Shinobi. What kind of chain of command are you talking about here." Shika narrows his eyes, glaring at Koharu.
"You... do you understand what you are talking about? We are the elders, the advisors. We have the right to ask for a clarification if the village's safety is at stake..." Koharu said with a cold tone.
"Advisors or Elders, no one, no one except the Hokage have the right to decide this. And if it's really for the village then proof that first. Usually that will need a meeting of all the clan heads in the absence of Hokage right.." Shika long had done his homework about village rules and policy.
He knew how the chain of command worked, at least officially and how the political landscape in Konoha worked. Legally, he was right.
"Insolence, you are not in any position to ask us about our decision. You will follow what is asked of you or..."
" Or what..." Just ask Koharu was getting more and more irritated and almost resorted to threatening Shika. Tsunade butt in.
"Or what... will you do, threaten a shinobi of the leaf." Tsunade narrowed her eyes with a hint of danger in them.
'Sorry if I ever called you old had with big watermelons, You are the best.' Shika internally shoved thumps up towards her.
"Cough ahem, Tsunade we are just asking the child for the good of the village..." Homura quickly said, defusing the situation.
"Good of the village, why it felt like I have heard this somewhere before. Like every other time when you old fossils need to get something done. Is this the only excuse you can come up with" Tsunade snorted.
They all very conveniently didn't react to that.
"Whatever it is, whether you have the authority or not, I certainly don't have any proof for you. I only know that I did it and that's it." Shika shrugged, still taking things lightly and replied.
"Why, can't you just use that technique again." They asked with suspicion clear on their face.
"And fell unconscious like last time, completely out of chakra. No thanks."
"Shika Nara, you are a Chunin of the Village, it's your duty to serve the village."
"Like getting in a dangerous fight, putting one life in danger to beat an enemy who was making short work of other shinobi. Yeah, if that can't be called serve the village then I am not sure what is ?" Shika replied with a still his calm tone, he wasn't letting them have the upper hand here, no matter what.
Now the elders were frustrated, they were planning to pressure Shika to tell about his secrets and that one last attack. But this kid seems to take them lightly.
Not to mention the presence of Tsunade means that they can't threaten him. Not like they can even if she wasn't here, he wasn't gonna take those things lightly, better just kill all three of them and go rogue.
"The village suspects that you are involved in the recent attack in the village," Danzo said, but he wasn't backing down.
Tsunade looked like she was about to explode seeing how shameless these people were but Shika opened his mouth first.
"Oh,… do you have any proof," Shika asked with a small smile on his face.
"What…!"
"Proof, village suspect me right. So there should be a proof or a reason for that right." Shika was still nonchalant.
"Boy don't get ahead of yourself. You are in no position to ask for proof from us." Danzo said with a dangerous tone.
"Really. Strange how you were doing the same just a second ago. Strange. Well since it's just a suspicion and the 'Village' is not ready to put forward any reason or proof why it suspects me. I don't have any comment on that. After all there only could be a defence when I know what exactly the allegation is right." Shika Shrugged making others frown.
Not all though, there was one who enjoyed this. Tsunade had a smile on her face. Which was getting wider by the minute.
This was the first time she has seen someone who doesn't play those damn elders game.
