章 127: Chapter 127 : I Am No Push Over
By the time Shika and Tsunade reached the Hokage Office, which those elders shamelessly used to manage the village's affairs, they saw two Anbu stopping them from entering the office.
"Tsunade Sama, elders only want to meet Shika Nara." Said one of the Anbu.
Shika only by this much knew that the person in front of him was not an Anbu but a member of Root. It was evident becuase there was no way any Anbu would dare to say these things to her...
Just as he was thinking about this, the gate of the office door alongside with the same Root Member was punched hard by Tsunade, breaking both and them inside the Office.
"Please don't wreck more things, the village is suffering from repairing funds as it is." Shika just sighed and muttered to Tsunade but she just snorted towards him.
"Huh, even my teacher never dared to keep me away from entering his office, what does he think of himself, The Daimiyo ?" Tsunade said, completely disregarding what Shika just said.
By now, breaking the door was almost a habit for her. She can't gamble in peace if she doesn't do it.
"Tsunade, what are you doing here." Asked one of the elders, his name was Koharu.
Out of all the elders, Tsunade particularly didn't like this old hag. Mainly because she handles the Konoha medical-nin and hospital.
Of course, Danzo is an exception, he was universally disliked by all.
In the past, there were countless suggestions that she made, only to be turned down by her.
"I should be asking the same, why you are using the Hokage office. Is there any scarcity of rooms here so that you three have to stay here." Tsunade narrowed her eyes and asked.
"Hmph... Tsunade, we are just using this place for some time, only until the next Hokage is decided. Say if you are willing to become the Hokage then we can clear this place out for you immediately." said Homura, shutting Tsunade up.
Though none of the elders here have the power to do that to Tsunade but Homura always have been good with words.
"Don't talk nonsense, I am not becoming Hokage I have told you this already. Tell me why you summon this brat here. He is still my patient. If you don't have any important thing to talk with him then I will take him back." Tsunade huffed and said with a Haughty tone.
"We have reason to summon but why you are here, do you have something to say," Danzo asked, not wanting Tsunade to say here while they talked with Shika.
"Reason! he is my patient, that is enough reason for me to be here. If you want to ask him something then do so. I am staying." Tsunade replied, particularly hostile towards Danzo.
If not for this man, then she wouldn't even entertain the fact that she was one of the candidates for the next Hokage.
Anyone can become a good Hokage, anyone besides one Danzo Shimura.
In this, pretty much all agree, even those two elders.
Seeing there was no way to change Tsunade's mind, they just sighed, making her go out wasn't worth the trouble.
"Shika Nara, you were the one who killed the Enemy who infiltrated Konoha. Tell us how you did it when many of the other shinobi were helpless against him." Danzo asked with his usual cold tone. Glaring at Shika he was trying to put more pressure on him.
"It's a special technique based on Chidori I developed," Shika replied with just as cold an attitude as the bastard was showing him.
"Are you trying to tell me that you a 13-year-old boy who is just a Chunin developed a technique which was able to beat an enemy who two of the Sannin weren't even able to," Koharu said with a sharp tone. Though her words had a mockery in them.
Shika already knew that these old fossils were up to no good. They especially call him here to give him trouble.
"Yes." Shika didn't plan to play their game. He just answered as nonchalantly as possible.
"Proof it." Immediately one of them asked, it was Danzo of course.
"Why ?" Shika raises one of his eyebrows in a questioning tone.
"Because we command you to." Koharu take it over.
"Command? Only Hokage have the authority to directly command one of the village Shinobi. What kind of chain of command are you talking about here." Shika narrows his eyes, glaring at Koharu.
"You... do you understand what you are talking about? We are the elders, the advisors. We have the right to ask for a clarification if the village's safety is at stake..." Koharu said with a cold tone.
"Advisors or Elders, no one, no one except the Hokage have the right to decide this. And if it's really for the village then proof that first. Usually that will need a meeting of all the clan heads in the absence of Hokage right.." Shika long had done his homework about village rules and policy.
He knew how the chain of command worked, at least officially and how the political landscape in Konoha worked. Legally, he was right.
"Insolence, you are not in any position to ask us about our decision. You will follow what is asked of you or..."
" Or what..." Just ask Koharu was getting more and more irritated and almost resorted to threatening Shika. Tsunade butt in.
"Or what... will you do, threaten a shinobi of the leaf." Tsunade narrowed her eyes with a hint of danger in them.
'Sorry if I ever called you old had with big watermelons, You are the best.' Shika internally shoved thumps up towards her.
"Cough ahem, Tsunade we are just asking the child for the good of the village..." Homura quickly said, defusing the situation.
"Good of the village, why it felt like I have heard this somewhere before. Like every other time when you old fossils need to get something done. Is this the only excuse you can come up with" Tsunade snorted.
They all very conveniently didn't react to that.
"Whatever it is, whether you have the authority or not, I certainly don't have any proof for you. I only know that I did it and that's it." Shika shrugged, still taking things lightly and replied.
"Why, can't you just use that technique again." They asked with suspicion clear on their face.
"And fell unconscious like last time, completely out of chakra. No thanks."
"Shika Nara, you are a Chunin of the Village, it's your duty to serve the village."
"Like getting in a dangerous fight, putting one life in danger to beat an enemy who was making short work of other shinobi. Yeah, if that can't be called serve the village then I am not sure what is ?" Shika replied with a still his calm tone, he wasn't letting them have the upper hand here, no matter what.
Now the elders were frustrated, they were planning to pressure Shika to tell about his secrets and that one last attack. But this kid seems to take them lightly.
Not to mention the presence of Tsunade means that they can't threaten him. Not like they can even if she wasn't here, he wasn't gonna take those things lightly, better just kill all three of them and go rogue.
"The village suspects that you are involved in the recent attack in the village," Danzo said, but he wasn't backing down.
Tsunade looked like she was about to explode seeing how shameless these people were but Shika opened his mouth first.
"Oh,… do you have any proof," Shika asked with a small smile on his face.
"What…!"
"Proof, village suspect me right. So there should be a proof or a reason for that right." Shika was still nonchalant.
"Boy don't get ahead of yourself. You are in no position to ask for proof from us." Danzo said with a dangerous tone.
"Really. Strange how you were doing the same just a second ago. Strange. Well since it's just a suspicion and the 'Village' is not ready to put forward any reason or proof why it suspects me. I don't have any comment on that. After all there only could be a defence when I know what exactly the allegation is right." Shika Shrugged making others frown.
Not all though, there was one who enjoyed this. Tsunade had a smile on her face. Which was getting wider by the minute.
This was the first time she has seen someone who doesn't play those damn elders game.

章 128: Chapter 128 : All For Konoha
"Boy, don't get ahead of yourself. You are in no position to ask for proof from us." Danzo said with a dangerous tone.
"Really. Strange how you were doing the same just a second ago. Strange. Well since it's just a suspicion and the 'Village' is not ready to put forward any reason or proof why it suspects me. I don't have any comment on that. After all there only could be a defence when I know what exactly the allegation is right." Shika Shrugged making others frown.
Shika's tone was making those Elders blow off their head by now. But he really wasn't saying anything wrong, knowing that there would be a time when he would be put into this kind of situation, he long learned about the Village rules.
So, officially these elders really can't do anything.
However...
Since when has the official really was been an issue like ever? What Shika had to look after was those sneaky shinobi who would come after him from now on.
At least Tsunade was enjoying herself. That's for sure...
"Ahem...the village suspects that you were behind the attack.." Koharu was saying but Shika called out almost immediately.
"yeah yeah yeah... I know all that what you want to say, my question remains the same. Do you have any proof ?"
"...." she almost choked.
"You,...you... what are you..."
"Even if you don't have any proof, there should be a good reason behind those suspicions, right? If you can't tell me then those are just expectations.
Anyone can do that, what stops me from thinking that one of you elders was responsible for the Konoha invasion that happened a few months ago." Shika said and tried really hard not to look at Danzo who's eyes slightly took that sharp look.
He recognized that sharp look on his face, but Shika didn't care.
"So, is there is anything more you want to say to me? Anything more concrete, or I should be going." Shika asked with a bored tone back to his face.
By now almost all three of them were gritting their teeth.
"Shameless boy, do you understand to from what you are talking to, what you tone otherwise..." Koharu almost shouted out but Tsunade sitting beside Shika also had the same sharpness in her eyes that earlier Danzo had.
Glaring at Koharu, stopping her once again. Like asking her to continue if she dares.
"Then what do you have to say about all the strange Summoning contract? It's unusual that you have so many summon contracts?" Homura said, trying to put the conversation back on track.
"Contracts? What so strange about them ?" Shika once again acted like he didn't understand anything.
Tsunade's smirk was threatening to turn into a full-blown smile right now.
"How did you get so many contracts in the first time? Let alone how that man animals agree to have a contract with you in the first place. It's highly unlikely that summon animals share one summoner." Homura now was talking.
Seeing that the usual pressuring tactics weren't working on the Nara in front of him, he could only go back to some reasoning.
"Yes… you are correct, usually summon contracts do not want to share the summoners but that is only when they are from some big place and powerful animal summoning clan.
The animals I summon are not that special. Many of them are not even traditional to summon animals. I train them and now I use them as Summoning beasts.
As for how I get so many contracts, the answer is the same, I train many of them, they are not traditional summon animals but rather normal animals.
Only some are your traditional summon animals which I was fortunate to get in one of my missions.
And I really don't think what is so special about someone being able to summon multiple types of summons, anyone can do so, they just don't usually and rely more on Ninjutsu.
I just happen to fine that it's more efficient than wasting chakra." Shika shrugged, though a little different than others, his reasoning was right.
So there was no way that they could argue on him here. And since Tsunade was there, they certainly can't just do anything they want to.
Hearing Shika, now the elders were really stuck, not sure what to say anymore.
They bring Shika here, at least both Homura and Koharu, to put a little pressure on Shika and see how his attitude is towards them.
They don't actually hold any power of their own, at least not officially. However, Since Hiruzen Sarutobi was in Hokage's position, he gave them power under his name.
So in a way, even if they don't officially hold any power on paper, as long as they want to, they can get an order from the Hokage to let those Anbu do their beating. That what was used to happen.
The people around them are so used to it that they don't even question them. Anymore since they knew that Sarutobi Hiruzen would agree with their decision no matter the case.
It's not like they don't have power, they do, but just not the kind of power that lets them order Anbu around like they usually do. At least not officially.
In times of emergency like right now when there is no Hokage in the position. They sure can exercise some power on behalf of Hokage.
But anything major like acting against a shinobi of the leaf, especially declaring him a spy or rouge is something that they have to discuss with others, mainly the clan head.
Especially if the shinobi is not any normal civilian but a clan shinobi.
Of course, by their faces, Shika could say that they couldn't give any less fucks about those rules, If not for Tsunade they already have those things to him.
The only one who really held military power among them was Danzo, again non-official but who cares about that, power is power.
And it just happens to be that he was behind this entire incident altogether.
While those other two elders why wanted to have someone like Shika under their control, but they didn't act on their own.
"Anything more…" Shika asked as a yawn came to him, making those elders twitch their eyebrows.
They wanted to say something but right now they had no concrete proof against Shika, and unlike how they act out of rules, they can't do that right now.
Because Tsunade was glaring at them with hawk-like eyes.
Shika mused seeing how the old hag was trying to scare him... maybe he should continue playing with them, he surely not gonna get another chance after today.
'hmm... whatever...the plan is in order anyway.
Tsunade on the side was wondering what substance this boy's balls were made out of.
'I Tsunade call them the strongest...'
He knew what was coming after this point, going against them like this here would bring them to target him.
A little smirk started to form in his mouth, it was almost invisible.
'Well you don't get a chance to do that... becuase I am already targeting you old foggies...'
