章 102: Chapter 102 : Gamble and Duel 2
"Shika, what were you thinking? That woman beat the shit out of me with just a finger flick." Naruto shouted before anyone else.
Shika just rolled his eyes, clearly expecting something like this from Naruto, he didn't give him much attention and kept on looking at Tsunade.
She was pretty similar as well, not paying much attention to others besides the small book in her hands.
"Kid, what are you, did you loot a bank or something ?" Tsunade asked with wide eyes.
"No, but something like that. Don't worry about it, it's not black money. Tell me whether you are interested or not ?" Shika asked, the small book which he tossed to Tsunade was his own account book.
It was a lot of money which he got from looting Gato.
"Black Money ?" Tsunade and others looked confused, they don't have the concept of black money here, becuase there is no hiding money from those nobles and Daiymio.
While Naruto was shouting nonsense, Jiraiya remained calm, he was already getting a headache, if this had happened a little earlier then surely would have stopped Shika but now he didn't even try. He tried everything to convince but to no avail.
So, he let Shika do what he wanted to, maybe it will work? And when it comes to that much money, well he has nothing to do with it.
Shika after saying this much kept his quiet, not saying anything.
Tsunade's eyes had a dollar sign right on in them. It was almost visible that she was struggling from her dislike of the village and her greedy Gambling side.
"I...I still won't become Hokage…" Tsunade ultimately said while closing the book with hesitation.
It was easy money, there was no way that a recently made Chunin could beat her, but still didn't want to gamble on this. She after all still is weak to blood so even taking this little gamble about her going back was impossible for her.
"Hmph, quite a gambler you are, even after having such a big advantage you are playing it safe… are you really not confident enough in yourself ?" Shika looked nonchalant and mostly not interested when saying this, the way he said this made Tsuande irritated even more.
"Here, I will put in another big offer for you, I won't ask you to become Hokage if you come back to the village. But in return, you have to stay in the village and help out.
Can you do that?" Shika asked while chopping on the Dango he just got, sounding nonchalant yet again.
"Brat don't underestimate me, you are talking like you are sure that I would lose…" Tsunade roared while crushing the glass in her hand.
At this point when she thought that Shika had a way of beating him otherwise why would the kid do this?
Shika didn't reply directly, he ate his last Dango and then licked his hand while looking at the stick which came with the Dango.
Taking the stick he pokes it at his thump.
Before he even felt it there was a little drop of blood appearing as he applied pressure. Making others wonder what he was doing but to Tsunade and Shizune, they understood what he was trying.
He grinned and threw his blood, dropping it in front of the beautiful blond making her pause in her place, all her earlier fuss dying down almost instantly.
"Yeah, I am sure I can beat you. So sure that I will express it by saying that I won't even need to draw even a single drop of blood…if I do then you won by default." Shika said making the silence Tsunade looked at his eyes, narrowing her own.
'The brat knew about my problem, and he is not gonna use it in a fight ?' Tsunade was affected by the blood but it was just a mere drop of blood and thus she didn't freeze up completely.
She tries to ignore the redness in front of her to maintain her facade.
'Did he say it like this so that others don't know about my problem ?' Tsunade glaring at Shika, put more pressure on the table, the sound of crackling was making others tense.
Shizune at first directly wanted to intervene knowing that the boy knew about Tsunade's Sama's weakness but she too understood what the boy was saying, this means that the boy would not use blood against her, it was a gesture of goodwill from him.
So, she didn't intervene seeing that Tsunade was able to handle her nerves by only seeing a simple drop of blood, but she still didn't like this gamble that he was talking about.
What gave him so much confidence that he was sure that he could beat one of the Sannins?
Jiraiya too didn't know about Tsunade's problem, but seeing how she had gotten quiet all of a sudden. He now started to suspect, but at the same time, he was now too interested to see what was it that gave Shika so much confidence that he could beat Tsunade.
Shika seeing that his message got across wiped the drop of blood and quietly his thump healed.
"If you are interested then come to the mountain area tomorrow morning…if not then we are calling this mission a failure, there is no point running after a failure anyway," Shika said and got up, that last sentence was exactly to made her mad and take and act out of spike, and he worked like charm.
It hit Tsunade nerves and she immediately flared up but before she could say anything she saw Shika was gone. Making her and others in the tavern frown.
They didn't see him leaving?
'This kid is getting interesting as time goes on.' Jiraiya thought with a little smile coming to his face.
Now even he was wondering what Shika was planning.
"Woh, that sure was cool…" Naruto had stars in his eyes. The way Shika acted looked quite cool to him.
"Tsunade Sama, are you going to go tomorrow ?" Shizune asked, making Tsunade purse her lips in deep thought.
And in the other hand, Shika lets Tsunade decide this by seeing whether that fighting spirit is still alive in her or not. Becuase if not then it's actually better for her to stay away from the village in that regard.
'I better get moving, need much to prepare…'
