章 17: Xavier Martin's POV
This time I was prepared and caught the fist aimed at my face.
''Let go of me'' Kiara yelled out in frustration and I released her fist. She turned her back towards me and walked towards the door.
I just folded my hands and watched her in amusement.
She tried opening the door but it didn't budge then she tried a series of spells but remained where she was.
''That wouldn't work'' I said with a casual shrug and leaned on the wall facing her.
''A territanium door'' Kiara muttered in disbelief turning to me.
''Yup. Known to withstand the power of the most blue blooded vampire also silver haired witches''.
''This metal is supposed to be extinct!'' Kiara said in disbelief.
''Yeah, kinda. That's like one of the only one's alive now'' I stated simply.
Kiara then stormed over to me.
''Open. The. Door''.
''No''.
Her expression twisted into one of irritation and she stepped closer towards me. I still couldn't get over her new appearance. Her bright intense silver eyes glared at me framed by her long thick eyelashes.
Is it me, or did she become even more beautiful.
Due to my stronger senses, I could smell her sweet scent of earth after rain and it was killing me. And the short distance between us wasn't helping one bit.
As if to torture me further, she stepped closer.
''Give me the key Xavier. I need to check if Hailey is okay''.
''Oh. She is fine''.
That didn't seem to reassure her.
''She with Evie'' I finally admitted but she didn't seem to believe me and instead took a step closer. We were pratically sharing the same breath now. What is she doing!?''.
I held my breath as she inched closer but instead her hand flew to my pocket.
''*uck'' She muttered stepping back and it then dawned on me.
I had to bite back my laugh.
''Did you actually think I just keep the key in my pocket'' I said trying not to show that i was disappointed.
''Duh?'' Then her eyes narrowed.
''Pfft. Did you think that I wanted to kiss you?
My eyes narrowed and with my vampire speed and grabbed her and instead pinned her to the wall.
''Maybe''.
With that I crashed my lips on hers.
