章 58: Caught in the Act

Raena's heart was still pounding from the adrenaline as she clutched Jaun's arm, the remnants of the cavern's chaos echoing in her mind. She could feel the power of her newly acquired skill, "One with the Shadows!", as she shouted, pulsing within her.

The moment she activated the ability, a cold shiver ran down her spine as if the shadows themselves were welcoming her into their embrace!

As she pulled Jaun into the darkness, the world around them dissolved into an inky black void. It was as if they were suspended in nothingness, weightless and lost. The sensation was disorienting; Raena couldn't tell up from down, nor could she gauge how much time had passed. Her grip on Jaun tightened as the void seemed to stretch on endlessly.

Then, suddenly, they reemerged, crashing back into reality!
