章 48: Monster Chef

The corridor was eerily quiet, save for the echo of the slow, deliberate footsteps reverberating throughout the narrow hall.

Silas stood on edge, each sound was heavy as though it was a countdown to his demise. 

Activating the Skill [Sensory], he scanned for the intruder's Aura. But to his surprise, it was faint and disappointingly weak.

_Another fodder assassin? No, they wouldn't go through that trouble just to send a couple of weaklings again. Whoever's coming here, is the real deal_

He almost relaxed for a second, but immediately snapped himself out of it, underestimating the enemy now would lead to his death a lot more quickly.

Silas's breathing was steady, all of that action from the lobby took quite a lot out of him, so he wasn't in the best condition right now. Whoever was coming at him, they were going to beat him up. Even so, he wasn't going to go down without a fight.

After a couple more steps, the figure came into view.
