章 17: A Real Marriage and The Princes War

Ana stared at Scott for a long time, a war inside her head. Maybe she didn't owe it to Scott, but she owed it to her son and herself to be sure when she left this marriage that she was doing the right thing.

If Nicholas truly cared for her, he would understand that she needed to be sure. Could her marriage be saved? Yesterday she would have sworn the answer was no but today she was less certain. Ana didn't trust that this Scott would stick around.

Ana sighed and sat up in bed. She grabbed her phone and opened the record feature and hit record. "If I am going to give this a real shot and be your actual wife for the next month, we need to discuss divorce terms. I can't be dependent upon you or Nicholas to care for our son. I may choose that I am better off on my own at the end of this."
