Chapter 1: Outer God Alexander

I never thought that death would feel like this - no pain, no light, nothing. At first, it was kind of painful... well, obviously it would be painful as I was hit by a speeding truck-kun, but that was it. It lasted only for some time before I took my last look at my home planet, Earth, and then darkness embraced me.

In a dark, endless void where even the thinnest light couldn't be found, there was a being that was kind of transparent, had no legs, only his upper body there, wandering aimlessly.
That being wandered around the seemingly endless void for God knows how long, but after some millennia, it was like it got its own consciousness or something, and it began to panic.

"Where am I? Is this the afterlife?" he thought without a shred of emotion, like a walking robot. But that only lasted for a couple of minutes before panic set in.
"Where the hell am I??? Is this some kind of punishment? I thought I'd at least get to reach heaven, but where am I?" he thought in panic.
"I was an avid believer in Jesus and haven't done a single crime that could be counted as sin... does that mean that Jesus was all just a facade and that nothing like God ever existed?" he thought, starting to doubt if his half-life as a believer was all for naught.
"Am I destined to be alone here, is this some kind of punishment?" he thought as time started to slip out of his hands...
[1 day later...]
"How many days has it been? 30 days? 40 days? I don't even know... I lost count after the thousandth count..." he thought, looking over the dark, endless void in front of him without any emotion, seemingly dead.
"Help me, someone... just kill me or erase me... I don't want to be here alone for God knows how long..." he thought with desperation.
... [1 Month later...]
"Has it been a year...? Damn it, if only I was given a second chance, I would have done all the things that I wished to do without anything holding me back. Damn it, I shouldn't have wasted my whole life being a priest, preaching about Jesus everywhere. If only..." After a while, he stopped his rambling as he got tired of it, tired of thinking when no one can hear his rambling or do anything about it.
... [100 years later]
"What's this sparkling here and there?" he thought, looking at some sparkling dots appearing behind him.
"I haven't noticed, but was it always there? I don't know... I've been complaining or trying every method to kill myself that I didn't even know what was happening in my surrounding." he thought.
"What are they though? Some kind of energy or something exclusive to this void?" he thought as he extended his hands, attempting to touch them.
And as his hands reached the small dots of sparkle, he felt warmth emanating from them, tingling his fingertip.
"Maybe, just maybe this might be the key to get the hell out of this damned place." he thought with frustration, frustration from being here for an unknown amount of time without anything to do but wander around, almost taking away his little bit of sanity as he had been doing it for so long.
With this newfound hope of getting free from this place, he sat cross-legged in the void.
"Wait, I'm in a soul state right now... so, how do I sit cross-legged and try to harness it like those Chinese cultivators do?" he thought, realizing he doesn't have legs and is in a soul-like state.
"Well, if that's the case, then I should just imagine myself sitting cross-legged and concentrate with my eyes closed with that way of thinking." he thought as he imagined himself sitting cross-legged, closing his eyes to remove any distractions... well, if there were any disturbances in this quiet place in the first place.
As he got into deep concentration, he started to imagine the small dots of sparkle surrounding him.
...
For half an hour, he stayed in the same position, trying to harness the energy but failed miserably.
"Damn, after so long, I found hope that this might be the key to get out of this place and I can't even harness it in the first place... am I really destined to be stuck here forever?" he thought, expressing his frustration. But he didn't stop doing the same thing as he continuously did it... for a few hours.
At first, the results were the same, but after 2 or 3 hours, he got the hang of it as he was finally able to make the energy surround him.
"Yes!! Finally, I did it." he thought with an imaginary smile.
With him getting a bit closer to his initial goal, he made this first success his motivation that he can do it, and so, he started to do it even more, adding complexity each time.

[After 1000 years...]
"How many years has it been? I can't remember... I became so focused on it that I didn't even notice the passing time. Oh wait, is there even time here? Hahaha," he thought, laughing in his mind over his own lame joke.
"Well, at least I found the technique to apply this energy to my body, guiding them through my body's meridian to actually create a core." he thought.
"Damn, I was really right to read all that bullshit cultivation novels. At least, it was somehow helpful." he thought.

And just like that, time started to pass like a river as years started to multiply, increasing each time he got out of his state of mind.
And as time passed, without even him noticing, billions or even trillions of years started to go by like water.
And in those years, he kept finding new ways to use this energy, like that one time where he kept adding the energy to his body that it started to give him some kind of supply that started to make a body of his own, completely different from what he used to have in his previous life.

[Time passed...]
Just like that, time passed like water as trillions of years started to go by in a blink of an eye.
"Ah, what's happening?" he said out loud, feeling that he could no longer contain the energy in his core anymore.
And as he was becoming worried about this, suddenly, a huge bell ringing sound came in the void, making his eyes open wide, as he thought he was the only one here.
