Lily's fingers traced the contours of the sketch, her mind a tempest of conflicting emotions. The tantalizing aroma of spicy buffalo wings and creamy lobster bisque lingered in the air, a stark reminder of Ethan Blackwood's unexpected culinary prowess.

"Did cooking for me mean he loved me deeply enough to do it himself?" Lily mused, her lips curling into a sardonic smile. "How utterly ridiculous."

"I also sketched for Nanny," Lily declared, her voice calm and detached as she hugged the drawing. She added in the recesses of her mind, "I'd love him only if I lost my sanity completely."

Ethan's expression darkened, his jaw clenching as he snatched the sketch back. "Sketched for Nanny?" he growled, stalking to the wall and jabbing the intercom with barely contained fury. "Nanny, tear up the sketch she gave you. Right now! Immediately!"
