14.14% Multiversal Congruency [Stopped] / Chapter 25: Energy.

章 25: Energy.

"Not so fast there, Phill. There are still two concepts that need to be addressed. As for other terminology, we can decide that later. These two concepts are the magic item and energy. For magic items, it's because we want to create something beyond simple trinkets—a wish-generating genie that can affect the entire world on this continent. As for energy, it's too universal. We need something that can cover energy affecting the three realms: Physical, Cognitive, and Ethereal. As you've already sensed, the more perfectly we create this magical two-core schematic, the more it wants to exist in these three realms simultaneously."

Nodding her head in agreement with Yennefer's opinion, Margarita expressed her thoughts, "For magic items, I like the terms Sa'angreal and Angreal. They have a nice ring to them and make the creator proud of their accomplishment. I can imagine the future creator of this magic item being motivated to perfect their art until their item can be called by these two terms. For energy, however, Chaos energy is just not suited for this term."

Not wanting Margarita to steal the limelight, Lanfear added, "I'm glad you think Sa'angreal and Angreal are good names. However, the energy terminology from my world, called True Source, is not suitable, since you on this continent have a similar word that refers to a signal or talent giving access to Chaos, which is very different from energy classification. So, for the terminology of this term, I will hand it to someone else, maybe Richard?"

Shaking his head, Richard responded, "No. In the Order's knowledge alone, there is kinetic energy, potential energy, thermal energy, electric energy, nuclear energy, etc. Because of that, no."

"Then that left only people from Skyrim. Any suggestions?"

"I would like to name it Magicka, but the term can be mistaken for the arts of Magic. For that, I pass."

After hearing rejection from a Skyrim magician named Faralda and seeing her golden hair, Ciri suddenly remembered one of her adventures in another world. She especially recalled meeting another elf with golden hair named Sylvanas Windrunner, who tended to her wounds and was the first to find her in the woods of Quel'Thalas.

At that time, when she swore revenge on every elven race in the multiverse, she finally realized that not all of them were bad people who needed to be punished. That act of kindness was the catalyst that made her trust Avallac'h and decide to accept his offer to be tutored in the arts of traveling the world.

'Sigh. I wonder how she is now. Last I remember, one of the Undead faction invasions headed straight for Quel'Thalas. I just hope that she is safe.'

Shaking her head, Ciri then suggested, "How about Mana? In one of my travels, I happened to meet someone who is not a mage but can perform incredible feats. She is even an archer, a very different profession than you guys who can only research and read books."

"Dear, although I am hurt by your depiction of us, I think that is a good suggestion. Naming energy is something that, at the end of the day, can be used by everyone, no matter their profession or occupation. That settles it then. At the very top, we have Chaos and Order for the environment in which we have epiphany. In the middle, we have Physical, Cognitive, and Ethereal for the realms of existence where we can come into contact. In the bottom rows, we have Magic and Science for us, the beings themselves, to understand the arts and comprehend the concepts in that environment. For the term that refers to all the energy that exists in everything and anywhere and can be used in all of these concepts, we have Mana. Lastly, for the magical items or scientific items that can perform incredible feats, they will be named Angreal and Sa'angreal. Any objections?"

Nodding her head, Lanfear expressed her thoughts to Yennefer, "Although there's some place where I did not agree with you, since it is not that simple to explain some of these concepts, I think that is a very user-friendly description for any of us or for later people who want to join our group or circle. So, I agree."

With others present, Richard nodded along and said, "Agree."

"Finally... Since all of us are too dumb to grasp Science just yet, let's leave the perpetual energy design in the Physical Realm to Richard. As for the Cognitive Realm, I and many others from this world are very novice and naive, even though we have many Psionics spells drawn from that plane. So, you two groups from Skyrim who sense this Cognitive Realm, which is like Oblivion in your world, and those who wield the One Power and know about Tel'aran'rhiod, can discuss among yourselves. Anyone who knows something about the Ethereal Realms can discuss with us people of the Continent."

Seeing another spell socket connecting minds between the creators that Philippa had created, Richard stayed silent, ignoring the owl's whining and suggestion, and focused his attention on the design of his perpetual energy.

First, the Sa'angreal will collect a molecular cloud of Mana from all of the creators as a jumpstart. Then, he will collide this molecular cloud with itself, triggering gravitational collapse. Once the region of Mana starts collapsing, it will automatically pull every dust particle inward to form a protostar core.

After this, Richard can sit back and relax, knowing that from this point onward, stellar ignition will begin, providing stable Mana regeneration with all kinds of energy present in the core.

This includes Nuclear energy, Hydro energy, Thermal energy, Electric energy, Gravitational energy, Kinetic energy, and many other types Richard discovered through his Sun Breathing and subsequent breathing. It also includes Stormlight energy that Sylphrena discovered while playing with his hair.

One Power energy, True Power energy, Pattern energy, and Balefire energy that Lanfear, Moiraine Damodred, Jahar Narishma, and Logain Ablar discovered while weaving their Saidar and Saidin.

Furthermore, it encompasses Chaos energy, Elemental energy, Elder Blood energy, and Bifröst energy that Yennefer Vengerberg, Philippa Eilhart, Triss Merigold, Ciri, and Richard discovered when casting spells and through various means.

Finally, it includes Magicka energy, Aetherial energy, Daedric energy, Soul energy, Divine energy, and Tonal energy that Mirabelle Ervine and Faralda discovered when they tried to sense the Ethereal Realm, Aetherius.

Although some of this energy can be considered heaven-defying to the extent that it could make them god-like, such as Pattern energy, which directly influences people's fate, they simply didn't know how to use it and lacked the expertise to wield it. Take Richard, for example; despite being able to come into contact with Antimatter energy through his Sun Breathing, he is unable to grasp its existence fully.

Not even the powers Richard already wields can be fully expressed. Sun Breathing, which he uses daily and is capable of creating supernovas that could destroy solar systems, can only manifest as little flames of lava and wield mini lightning thunder due to his inexperience and lack of expertise in utilizing it.

This issue isn't unique to Richard; it affects everyone here. For instance, Ciri's Elder Blood energy, which could potentially destroy clusters of multiverses, can only be used to move from place to place and nothing more. Mirabelle's Aetherial energy, which can create a universe, only allows her to create mass hysteria and produce a continuous stream of lightning storms. Yennefer Vengerberg's Chaos energy, which can shape this multiverse however she likes, was only able to create zaps of lightning and summon beings from the elemental plane. Lanfear's One Power and True Power energy, which were able to weave the fate of a universe, were only able to shape mountains and create a plane of existence in the Cognitive Realms.

So, the issue of having too much energy is already present in every civilization they live in. The difference lies in how people wield that energy and come to understand it, eventually enabling them to do unimaginable things. That's why Richard once again strengthens his resolve to create an academia where everyone can research together and share their knowledge of understanding, until the term god becomes a thing of the past, referring to someone not yet enlightened.

"Are you done, Richard?"
