章 2: Starting
"Are you sure, Lord Beerus?" said Whis.
"Yes, Whis. It's been trillions of years. I've had enough of being the God of Destruction. Bring Goku and Vegeta here," said Beerus with little emotion.
"Yes, my lord," said Whis as he tapped his staff.
Goku, who had become the Supreme Kai of the Universe, was busy creating life. Vegeta, who was on Earth visiting his wife's grave, suddenly found himself enveloped in light and transported to Beerus's planet.
"Lord Beerus, what happened?" said Goku with his usual cheerful attitude.
"Shut it, Kakarot. Let Lord Beerus speak," said Vegeta.
"Still tsundere, Vegeta, I see," said Goku, who had become wiser over the millennia.
"Kakarot, you bastard! You wanna die?" shouted Vegeta with a red face.
"Listen," said Beerus with an oddly calm voice, catching the attention of both Saiyans. "I have lived long enough as a God of Destruction and as a mortal too. Everything has become too boring for me."
"Is that so, Beerus? Well, now that I think of it, it's been millions of years, hasn't it?" said the Grand Priest, appearing out of nowhere.
"Grand Priest, father, Lord Grand Priest," everyone greeted him separately.
"Yes, Grand Priest, I have had enough. It's getting boring to even exist. I've done everything I wanted. It's time for me to go," said Beerus, shocking the Saiyans.
"If you say so. Whis, if he himself agreed, start the ritual. Anyway, who is in your mind?" said the Grand Priest.
"Well, Lord Grand Priest, at first I thought Goku was a good candidate, but his inability to destroy held him back. Now he has become the Supreme Kai, so I chose Vegeta as the candidate. As you can see, he is ready," Beerus said with a smile, which shocked the Saiyans and made Whis sad, remembering the wonderful friendship he had formed with Beerus.
"Okay, Whis, start the ceremony tomorrow, and I will inform Grand Zeno," said the Grand Priest.
The next day...
"Now all responsibility will fall on you, Vegeta. I can say you are ready to take on the mentality of a God of Destruction. Let's not waste any time. Goku, are you ready?" said Beerus.
"Are you sure about this, Lord Beerus?" said Goku, frowning with sadness.
"Yes, Lord Beerus," said Vegeta.
"Yes, Vegeta and Goku. Now this world has become boring with nothing to bring excitement. Now begin, Goku," said Beerus.
"As you say, Lord Beerus," said Goku with sadness as he put his arm on Vegeta's shoulder.
As Beerus and Goku entered their strongest forms, Beerus in his Destroyer form and Goku in MUI...
"Your power now surpasses mine, Vegeta, but to become a God, you must attain immortality," said Beerus.
"Vegeta, now your life is bound with mine. As long as I live, you will live. Other than that, your immortality cannot be undone," said Goku with seriousness in his voice.
"Now my immortality is yours. Consider it my final gift, Vegeta," said Beerus, transferring his immortality to Vegeta as his body began to crack.
"Listen, Vegeta, remember: before creation comes destruction," said Beerus as he began to crack.
"You will be a good choice," he said as he fully turned into sand and blew away.
"Lord Beerus," thought the Saiyans. If we look closely, we can see a single tear coming out of Vegeta's eye.
"Vegeta, I have an idea," suddenly Goku said, catching the attention of Whis and the newly appointed God of Destruction, Vegeta.
"What, Kakarot?" said Vegeta, sadness visible in his voice.
"You heard Lord Beerus, right? He wanted excitement. How about we reincarnate him somewhere where he can live his life without any memories of us but retain his power? We can use the Super Dragon Balls," said Goku excitedly.
"Huh? What you say is kind of possible... right, Whis?" said Vegeta, dumbfounded, and asked Whis with hope for approval.
"Yes, Lord Vegeta, it's possible," Whis said.
"Then Whis, let's go find these Super Dragon Balls," said Vegeta and Goku in unison.
After some time...
They gathered all the Super Dragon Balls.
"Whis, summon Super Shenron," said Vegeta and Goku at the exact same time.
"Yes, my lords. Please step aside," said Whis.
"Ryūjin no na ni oite, ware wa kanarazu shōkan shi, koko ni araware, doragon!" said Whis.
All the Dragon Balls began to shine. The Universe started to shake, and a dragon the size of half the Universe appeared.
"Whis, tell Shenron to reincarnate Lord Beerus into an exciting world with no memories about us, but let him retain his power. As you know, we can get three wishes now. After the war, Zalama improved the dragon, and we also have one wish left from the previous time," said Goku excitedly.
"Kakarot, why retain his previous power?" said Vegeta, and Whis also nodded in confusion.
"I mean, think about it, Vegeta. It will be hard for you to find your successor, right?" said Goku.
Vegeta nodded because after the war with the demons, races with potential decreased a lot. It would take trillions of years for a race with potential like theirs to appear again. Whis also nodded.
"So, it's simple. If you get bored, you can make the reincarnated Lord Beerus the God of Destruction again and retire. Don't you think?" said Goku.
Vegeta and Whis looked shocked that Goku could think of this master plan.
"Looks like Goku's training with father is successful," thought Whis with a smile.
Realizing the plan, Vegeta also said excitedly, "Whis, make the same wish as Goku said."
"As you say, Lord Vegeta," said Whis as he turned to Super Shenron and said, "Sūpāshenron, watashitachi no negai wa, kioku no nai Birusu-kyō o, kare no chikara ni tsuite no chishiki dake o mochi, sore o kaifuku dekiru ekisaitingu na sekai ni tensei sa seru kotodesu, peas and carrots!"
Super Shenron's eyes shone, and he disappeared into the Universe.
"Let's go, Lord Vegeta and Goku. Now we can wait until Lord Vegeta wants to retire," said Whis. The others nodded, and as Whis tapped his staff, all of them returned to the God of Destruction planet.
"Kakarot, how about you also stay here so we can train and push ourselves more?" said Vegeta with a little blush on his face, embarrassed.
"Huh? It's a good idea, Vegeta," said Goku, happy to be able to fight while also fulfilling his creating duties.
Konoha(In council room)
Minato's face showed helplessness. He had just fought the Kyuubi and used new seals he created, but was thankful that his sensei was there; otherwise, he would have had to call for the Shinigami. With time, he was able to use the seal he created with Kushina, Hiruzen, and his sensei Jiraiya. He divided the Kyuubi into three parts: Yin chakra, Yang chakra, and the soul of the Kyuubi, and sealed them in his three children.
