Lin Sihan didn't even spare her a glance, her smile warm and affectionate as she softly asked Lin Sinian, "Sinian, you've arrived."

Lin Sinian nodded, "Yeah, came over to help Grandfather hold the fort."

Upon hearing this, Lin Sihan's gaze fell upon Qiao Zhaoyue, her smile suddenly stiffening, her expression turning gloomy.

"Qiao Zhaoyue." She gritted her teeth and called out.

"Yes." Qiao Zhaoyue nodded, "May I ask if you need something?"

Taking a deep breath, Lin Sihan tried hard to control her temper, to avoid an outburst right then and there.

She pulled at the corner of her mouth, squeezing out a hint of a smile, "I thought you wouldn't dare to attend tonight's banquet."

Qiao Zhaoyue frowned, looking at Lin Sihan in confusion, "Tonight's banquet is to celebrate Old Mr. Lin's eightieth birthday, why shouldn't I come?"

Lin Sihan scoffed, "What relation do you have with my grandfather?"

Her tone suddenly turned sharp, the sarcasm undeniable.
