Chapter 2: Mangekyou Awakening
Uchiha Waku knew that the night of the clan's annihilation had begun, and he felt a sense of panic.
Uchiha Itachi, the loyal son, might kill me. Maybe I should stay home and keep a low profile.
However, reality is cruel. The more you wish to avoid something, the more likely it becomes real.
Just as Uchiha Waku was about to find a secluded corner to hide, Uchiha Itachi's figure appeared right in front of him.

Uchiha Waku's face was full of flattery, and he even rolled up his sleeves, as if ready to fight.
However, as Uchiha Waku spoke, Itachi's expression grew darker, and his killing intent intensified.
"Shut up!" Itachi suddenly said coldly.
"I'm here to kill you!"
Hearing Itachi's words, Uchiha Waku's flattery turned unnatural. He stammered, "You… You're just deceiving me, right?"
Looking at Uchiha Waku's demeanor, Itachi's face showed disdain. He had never seen an Uchiha so afraid of death, so devoid of dignity, and so submissive!
Itachi: "I'm here to kill you!"
With those words, Itachi drew his short sword and slowly approached Uchiha Waku.
Terrified, Uchiha Waku kept retreating, pleading, "No, please! Itachi, don't you remember? I've always supported your unwavering resolve. I've endured beatings and even broken limbs from our clan members—all for you! Now you want to kill me?"
Uchiha Itachi listened to Uchiha Waku's defense, his expression growing even more disdainful. He said, "Was that really for my sake? Or were you simply afraid of death? Over the years, I've learned your true character. You're a coward, weak and worthless! What the other clan members say is true—you're unworthy of the Uchiha name!"
"Now that the Uchiha clan has fallen, their pride remains. They still deserve to be called Uchiha. However, their rebellion is doomed to fail, destined to tarnish the glory of the Uchiha clan!"
"Though I have some responsibility in protecting peace in Konoha, my primary duty is to preserve the Uchiha clan's honor. As such, I, as acting clan leader, hereby strip you of the Uchiha name!"
Listening to Itachi's words, Uchiha Waku suddenly realized that his previous assumption—that Itachi was brainwashed by the Will of Fire—was incorrect. Itachi still held Uchiha sentiments, but only those associated with the former Uchiha's boundless glory.
However, this wasn't the time for deep reflection. It was a life-or-death crisis!
"Big brother Itachi," Uchiha Waku pleaded, clinging to a sliver of hope, "I know what you've said. I promise to change. Can you spare me this once? Consider our past friendship!"
"Your existence is worthless."
Itachi's response left no room for hesitation. With that sentence, he pronounced Uchiha Waku's death sentence.
The cold, sharp blade sliced across Uchiha Waku's neck, and hot blood sprayed forth. His face twisted in fear, unable to articulate his thoughts. His pitch-black pupils remained fixed on Itachi as he slowly collapsed to the ground, eyelids growing heavier until they finally closed.
Ignoring everything else, Itachi turned away to attend to his duty.
Uchiha Waku now felt extreme coldness and darkness, reminiscent of his previous life's death experience.
So cold, so dark, so uncomfortable—the passage of time felt agonizingly slow!
He seemed trapped in an infernal abyss, surrounded by endless darkness. Time ceased to flow; he was utterly alone.
