The moment Delilah walked into the bedroom to get ready for her outing with Jessica, Jessica turned to her, eyebrows raised.

"What's going on between you two? First, he seemed to be avoiding you, and you were avoiding his gaze. Then he received an email and you were all over him, and next, he's talking about his bedroom and you're blushing. Did something happen between you two?"

"Nothing happened that you should know about," Delilah said quickly, focusing on pulling out an outfit. "It's just...complicated."

"Complicated?" Jessica asked, staring at her and waiting for an explanation.

"The email he got was from Quinn Enterprise. You know about my interest in Hunter Quinn. Blake said he was going to try to get a job there so he could help me with it. And earlier I was just excited to know if he got the job," Delilah explained, her voice tinged with excitement.
