The tension in the room was palpable.
Everyone present knew the situation had escalated to a critical level. Lowo, known for his explosive personality and mental disorders, was seated in the central chair, his eyes full of rage and sarcasm.
In the corner of the room, Ylsean, also known as Smile, observed everything with an unsettling calmness. His tranquil posture contrasted sharply with Lowo's aggression, making his presence even more intriguing.
"Do you really want to continue with this nonsense?" Lowo shot out, his voice filled with sarcasm. "Here I am, connected to these ridiculous machines, and you think this is going to stop me? Do you really believe I don't know what's going on?"
Koltz, who had remained silent until then, decided to intervene. He approached the table, adjusting his glasses while staring intently at Lowo.
"Lowo, no one here is against you. This is for your own good and..."
"For my good?" Lowo interrupted, his loud laughter echoing through the room. "Koltz, do you think I'm an idiot? This whole circus... Don't come at me with this nonsense about it being for my good. What you really want is to keep your precious funding intact."
Mr. Domi, the mysterious external financer of the CPF, remained seated in a corner of the room, watching everything without saying a word.
His expression was unreadable, but his presence commanded respect. Everyone knew he was the most important figure there, the man funding CPF's secret projects and, in a way, the true power behind the curtains.
However, Domi rarely got involved directly in the confrontations. His influence was subtle, but immeasurable.
Lowo, however, ignored any authority. He turned to Ylsean, who was standing calmly, not expressing any reaction.
"And you, Smile? Not going to say anything? Just standing there watching as if you're above all of us. What are you, after all? One of Domi's lackeys?"
Ylsean, with a slight smile on his face, remained silent, just watching Lowo. This calm and seemingly unconcerned attitude seemed to irritate Lowo even more, who abruptly stood up from the chair, ripping some of the wires connected to his body.
"I'm not afraid of you. Not any of you!" Lowo shouted, his voice reverberating through the room. "This is a power game, and I know all the rules. I know exactly what's going on in your mediocre minds. You think you can control me, but you're very wrong!"
Koltz tried once again to calm Lowo, but was interrupted abruptly.
"Stop trying to control me, Koltz! I've told you, I know exactly what you're trying to do. I'm not a puppet, and if you think you can manipulate me like you did with the others, you're in for an unpleasant surprise."
At that moment, the tension reached its peak. Everyone in the room knew the situation was about to spiral completely out of control. Lowo was on the brink of a breakdown, and any misinterpreted word or gesture could result in disaster. It was then that Ylsean, known as Smile, finally broke the silence.
"Lowo, calm down."
His voice was low, but carried unquestionable authority. The tone was surprisingly serene, contrasting with the chaos reigning in Lowo's mind.
All eyes in the room turned to Ylsean, as if waiting for a definitive response to the crisis at hand.
"What did you say?" Lowo questioned, still with evident anger in his voice.
"I said for you to calm down," Ylsean repeated, this time taking a step forward, standing face to face with Lowo. "This isn't about control or manipulation. Everyone here is trying to understand what's happening, including you. But the only way to find answers is with a clear head."
For a brief moment, the atmosphere seemed to freeze. Lowo stared at Ylsean, as if trying to decipher who that person really was. Why, Ylsean, someone who always kept to the sidelines, decided to intervene now?
"Who are you really?" Lowo asked, his voice sounding more curious than aggressive this time. "What are you doing here, Smile? Everyone knows my mental situation, knows that I'm not an easy person. But you..." Lowo shook his head, confused. "You're a mystery."
The other members present, including Koltz and Mr. Domi, were also intrigued. They knew who Ylsean was, but had never seen him take such an assertive stance. What was really happening?
Before Ylsean could answer, Mr. Domi stood up from his chair and intervened with a calm, yet firm gesture.
"It's okay," he said, his voice resonating in the room with a weight that made everyone pay attention. "We don't need explanations right now. Lowo, understand that there are things beyond our immediate comprehension.
And some of those things..." Domi looked directly at Ylsean, as if there were something unsaid between them. "Are purposes that concern no one else."
Lowo opened his mouth to retort, but seeing Domi's calm gaze, he chose to remain silent. It was as if that simple gesture from Domi had disarmed all his aggression. He knew something bigger was happening, but he couldn't understand what it was.
Koltz, for his part, continued observing the scene, still intrigued. There were more things involved in that project than he had imagined, and for the first time, he felt that maybe he wasn't in control of the situation as he thought.
In the end, with the tension eased, everyone understood that Ylsean, somehow, was there for a greater purpose. His presence, though enigmatic, had brought a momentary peace to that negotiation that seemed doomed to fail.
Lowo, still confused but now calmer, sat back down. He looked at Ylsean one last time before murmuring:
"This isn't over. There's still so much I don't understand... but I think you know that too, Smile."
Ylsean simply smiled faintly, without replying. And with that, the negotiation continued, now under a new light of mystery and tacit understanding between those present.
Whatever was at stake, everyone knew there was more than met the eye.
Mr. Domi, the mysterious external financier of CPF, remained seated in a corner of the room, observing everything without saying a word.
His expression was unreadable, but his presence commanded respect. Everyone knew he was the most important figure there, the man who funded CPF's secret projects and, in a sense, the real power behind the curtains.
However, Domi rarely got directly involved in confrontations. His influence was subtle but immeasurable.
Lowo, however, ignored any authority. He turned to Ylsean, who was standing quietly, showing no reaction.
"And you, Smile? Aren't you going to say anything? Just standing there watching as if you're above all of us. What are you, after all? One of Domi's lackeys?"
Ylsean, with a faint smile on his face, remained silent, simply observing Lowo. This calm and seemingly carefree attitude seemed to irritate Lowo even more, who abruptly stood up from his chair, pulling some wires connected to his body.
"I'm not afraid of you. Not any of you!" Lowo shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "This is a power game, and I know all the rules. I know exactly what's going on in your mediocre minds. You think you can control me, but you're wrong!"
Koltz tried once again to calm Lowo, but was abruptly interrupted.
"Stop trying to control me, Koltz! I've told you, I know exactly what you're trying to do. I'm not a puppet, and if you think you can manipulate me like you did with the others, you're in for an unpleasant surprise."
At that moment, the tension reached its peak. Everyone in the room knew that the situation was about to spiral completely out of control.
Lowo was on the brink of collapse, and any word or gesture misinterpreted could lead to disaster. It was then that Ylsean, known as Smile, finally broke the silence.
"Lowo, calm down."
His voice was low, but carried an unquestionable authority. The tone was surprisingly serene, contrasting with the chaos reigning in Lowo's mind. All eyes in the room turned to Ylsean, as if they were waiting for a definitive response to that crisis.
