章 38: I wanna join

The group then entered a cave, as they did they started a fight with a few goblins spells and magical when all out, as then the door to my room was open as it was Dr Bright he was going to say something but every type of spell were sent at him as he screamed before it all went passed him.

Dr bright who had let out a less then manly scream just looked. Ok what

Dr. Bright stood in the doorway, his eyes wide and his breath coming in short, sharp gasps. The barrage of spells and magic had narrowly missed him, causing his hair to stand on end and his clipboard to fall from his hands.

I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of him. "Dr. Bright, you should know better than to just barge in when we're in the middle of a game."

Dr. Bright glared at me, straightening his lab coat. "I was going to tell you something important, but it seems like you're all having too much fun to care."

Iris, still in character, lowered her bow. "What's so important that it couldn't wait until after our session?"

Dr. Bright picked up his clipboard and took a deep breath. "Well, considering the current situation with the clones and the creation of the new task force, I thought you'd like to know we've identified a new cloning facility. It's located in a remote area, and we need to act quickly before they produce more SCP clones."

Able, back in his Paladin persona, turned to me. "What's the plan, leader? Do we wrap up our game or head out?"

I glanced at the holographic D&D world around us, then back to Dr. Bright. "We've been having a good run, but duty calls. We'll have to pick this up another time."

Scp 682 grumbled but didn't argue. "Fine. Let's deal with these clones and get back to our game."

Scp 953 stretched and adjusted her foxian bard outfit. "Alright, let's save the day and then return to our adventure."

Scp 999, still in slime form, bounced excitedly. "I'm ready! Let's go!"

Sigurros waved her hand, and the holographic illusion faded, returning us to the reality of the Foundation.

Dr. Bright nodded approvingly. "Good to see you're all ready to go. Gear up and meet in the briefing room in ten minutes. We've got a mission to plan."

As we gathered our things, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and determination. The real world awaited, and with our combined skills and powers, we were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. The D&D game would have to wait, but our adventure was far from over.

Dr bright then pushed his glasses. Anyway today is not the day sense the task force still needs time Until then. Dr bright the smriked. I will be joing the game.

Iris just looked at him and lapped. And here is Dr bright we all know and love.

I just looked at Iris. Love is a very strong word more like we.....we will shit there is no word for that

Dr. Bright chuckled and pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "Well, I'm honored by the sentiment...I think. Now, let's see where I can fit into this little adventure of yours."

Iris laughed, her elf ranger character momentarily forgotten. "Alright, Dr. Bright, what's your character?"

Dr. Bright grinned mischievously. "I'll be playing a trickster rogue, of course. Someone's gotta keep you all on your toes."

Scp 682 grumbled. "Great, more chaos."

I looked at Iris and sighed. "Love is a strong word. It's more like...we tolerate him."

Everyone laughed, and the tension from the earlier conversation dissipated. The game resumed with Dr. Bright joining in, and the holographic world Sigurros created sprang back to life around us.

"Alright, everyone," I said, taking charge again. "We're in a goblin-infested cave. Let's clear it out and find the treasure."

Dr. Bright's rogue character sneaked ahead, scouting for traps and hidden enemies. "Watch out for those pressure plates," he warned, pointing to the ground ahead.

Iris, staying in character, thanked him with a nod. "Good eye, rogue."

Scp 049 and his son used their magic to illuminate the cave, revealing more goblins lurking in the shadows. "Prepare for battle!" Scp 049 commanded.

Scp 953's bard played a rousing tune, boosting everyone's morale and sharpening their focus. "Let's show these goblins what we're made of!"

Scp 999's hero slime bubbled with enthusiasm. "Time to shine!"

As the fight ensued, spells and weapons clashed with goblins' crude blades. The room was filled with the sounds of our game, laughter, and the occasional outburst from Dr. Bright as his rogue narrowly avoided danger.

Hours passed, and the camaraderie among us grew stronger. The mission awaiting us in reality loomed large, but for now, we were heroes in a fantastical world, united by our shared adventure.

By the time we finished the session, everyone was in high spirits. Even Scp 682, despite his usual grumpiness, seemed more relaxed.

Dr. Bright leaned back, a satisfied smile on his face. "This was a good break. But remember, tomorrow we get back to work."

I nodded, looking around at my team. "Agreed. We'll be ready. Until then, let's enjoy the rest of the day."

As we packed up the game, I felt a renewed sense of purpose. The challenges ahead were daunting, but together, we could face anything.

As then I started to continue. You all then notice something, I giant sword that gleams on the small sunlight, it seemed to be ancient almost like a hero's sword.

Scp 049-j just looked at me. I will be picking it up.

I just looked at him and lapped, I already knew I was going to give the sword or able. Go for it roll your dice

Scp 049-j just rolled his dice. Come on give me a high number.

As the dice landed on a 20, I just looked dumfounded, and eveyrone screamed NAT 20

The room erupted in cheers and laughter as everyone celebrated Scp 049-j's incredible luck.

I shook my head in disbelief, a smile spreading across my face. "Well, well, well, looks like fate has chosen you to wield the hero's sword."

Scp 049-j puffed out his chest proudly. "Yes! Finally, some good fortune!" He mimicked his character's actions, pretending to lift the imaginary sword with great effort.

I chuckled. "Alright, as you pick up the ancient sword, you feel a surge of power course through your body. The blade gleams brighter, almost resonating with your very soul. This is no ordinary weapon; it's imbued with powerful magic."

Able grinned. "Looks like we have a new hero in our midst."

Iris leaned in, her elf ranger character curious. "What does the sword do, exactly?"

I thought for a moment, then narrated, "The sword grants its wielder enhanced strength and agility, making them nearly unstoppable in battle. It also has the ability to heal minor wounds and can cut through almost anything. This is a true hero's weapon."

Scp 049-j beamed. "Looks like we have a new champion in our party!"

Scp 682 grumbled good-naturedly, "Just don't get too cocky."

Dr. Bright, ever the rogue, smirked. "Don't worry, I'll make sure he stays humble."

As the game continued, the group faced more challenges and battles, with Scp 049-j's newly acquired sword playing a crucial role in their victories. The camaraderie and teamwork were palpable, and for those few hours, the worries of the real world faded into the background.

As the session came to an end, I looked around at my team. "Great game, everyone. This was exactly what we needed."

Dr. Bright nodded. "Agreed. Sometimes a bit of fantasy can remind us of our strengths in reality."

Scp 049, who had been quietly observing, spoke up. "Indeed. Let us take the spirit of this game into our real missions. Together, we are stronger."

Iris smiled. "Absolutely. Now, let's get some rest. We've got a big day tomorrow."

As everyone began to leave, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and unity within our team. We were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead, both in the game and in the real world.

As the session ended, everyone was buzzing with energy from the game. The room was filled with laughter and discussions about their characters and the events of the game. I glanced around, seeing the excitement in everyone's eyes.

Iris, her elf ranger character still on her mind, was chatting animatedly with Scp 953 about their favorite moments in the game. "That sword reveal was incredible," she said, her eyes sparkling. "I didn't expect it to be so powerful."

Scp 953, still in character, nodded. "Indeed! And seeing 049-j wield it so effortlessly was something else. It felt like we were really on an epic quest."

Meanwhile, Dr. Bright was examining the character sheets with Scp 049. "So, 049, how did you find the experience of playing a wizard?"

Scp 049, with his usual serious demeanor, replied, "It was quite enlightening. The strategic aspect of spellcasting added an interesting layer to our usual tasks."

I stepped over to join them. "Glad you enjoyed it. It's always good to shake things up a bit."

Scp 682, who had been grumbling about his character's role, seemed to have warmed up to the idea. "Despite being a magical girl healer, I have to admit, it was fun. And I suppose it did bring a different dynamic to the team."

Sigurros, who had been quietly observing, decided to chime in. "I'm glad you all enjoyed the game. It's nice to see everyone having fun and working together in a different context."

I nodded. "Exactly. Sometimes it's important to have these moments of levity. It helps us bond and brings out the best in everyone."

The team began discussing their next steps, both in the game and in their real missions. Dr. Bright took the opportunity to lay out the plans for the next few days. "We'll need to focus on our ongoing tasks and ensure that all the new protocols for dealing with clones are in place."

Iris raised an eyebrow. "And what about our next game session?"

Dr. Bright smiled. "We'll definitely make time for that. It's important for team morale."

As everyone began to disperse, I couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment. The game had not only been a fun diversion but also a valuable exercise in teamwork and creativity.

Later that evening, as I prepared to head out, I received a message from the task force. The team's efficiency in dealing with the clones had been recognized, and a new operation was on the horizon. It seemed like the excitement wasn't going to end anytime soon.

As I walked down the corridor, I spotted Scp 049-j, still holding the character sheet for his newly acquired sword. He looked up and nodded in acknowledgment. "Ready for the next mission?"

I grinned. "Absolutely. Let's see what challenges await us."

The team regrouped the next day, each of them ready to tackle the new operation. The camaraderie and strength gained from the previous day's game were evident. They were more united than ever, prepared to face whatever came their way.

The new task force Deletion was already making strides in dealing with the clone threats, and the team was keen to get started. We gathered in the briefing room to go over the details of the upcoming operation.

Dr. Bright laid out the plan. "We've got intel on a potential clone production facility. Our goal is to infiltrate, gather as much information as possible, and shut it down before more clones can be created."

I looked around at my team. "We've got this. Remember, we're working as one unit, and we've proven that we can handle anything that comes our way."

The team nodded in agreement, ready for the mission ahead. With renewed determination, they set off to tackle the new challenge, prepared to face any obstacles and safeguard the Foundation's interests.
