Joe huffed as he finally made it to Anavrin after having to navigate for a while, of course the old Joe knew where he was going but sadly, he wasn't paying attention to that. With quick steps he walked into the store letting out a relieved sigh at the cool air which fell on his body.
He had to stop at his P.O Box along the way as he was able to get the new identity quickly, he did mention to put a rush on it, but he didn't think they would be that fast. Walking inside he asked to speak to the manager where Calvin walked over to him, it was the same man from the show.
"I heard you wanted to get a job in produce? Well, you need to fill this out and follow me, we can do an interview right now." Calvin said handing him a pen and paper before leading him towards the back area.
Joe followed along while filling out the paper, what he didn't notice was the eyes on him as he followed Calvin into the back room. The door separating them from following him beyond.
After filling it out they were now sitting at the round table while Calvin looked over his application, "So, no experience at all in sorting or bagging perishables?" Calvin asked looking back up at him.
"I can learn quickly, not really that hard to do." Joe said with a shrug, it wasn't like you needed a college degree to learn to put food into bags.
"It's a coveted job. Yeah, all the casting directors shop here. So..." He mentioned trialing off.
Joe frowned a disgusted look on his face, "Yeah, no need to worry about that. I have no interest in a lifestyle like that."
Calvin looked him over for a moment before nodding, "Okay, let me xerox some photo ID and I'll call you ASAP and I'll let you know."
Joe nodded while reaching into his backpack to bring out the ID that he had just gotten today, as he did so he set the book Joe planted in the backpack on the table.
"Are you reading that?" Calvin asked while pointing at the book.
"Re-reading actually. It feels like it gets more relevant every day, right?" Joe said while remembering the words that Joe had said in the show when he was interviewing for this part.
From there he was led out to where the books were and given the job, he smiled as he went ahead and got his apron before being told he started the next day. Walking towards the exit he paused, smiling he saw Love who was currently shopping for fruit at the moment.
He stood there a moment watching her, she was just as beautiful as he remembered her from the show, but he also knew what lay beneath that beauty. Beneath it was a woman who wasn't afraid to kill in order to protect those she cared about, while she was crazy, she was still beautiful.
He had always been told to never date a crazy woman, but that didn't mean he was going to listen to them, for one he found her attractive and loved her character. For two he knew she only did it to protect the ones she loved, so he didn't have a problem with the way she was.
Moving towards the produce he grabbed a dragon fruit while subtly looking at her at the side of her eye, she had just bumped into a woman passing behind her. He chuckled at how cute she could act while she was apologizing to someone.
Unlike the other Joe he wasn't in a detox with women, he had a plan for when or if Candace was to show up, he wasn't going to allow her to ruin his life.
"Excuse me? Do you think this peach looks like a butt?" Love asked him grabbing his attention and bringing him out of his thoughts, "There is no wrong answer."
He smiled, "Yeah looks exactly like one."
"Right? Hm. Thank You." She said with a smile before setting it back down and turning around.
Joe watched her a moment before he walked a little closer to her from behind, "Just to warn you though...All peaches look like butts."
She smiled happily at him, "Well, thank you for your honesty. I might go out on a limb and suggest that... bell peppers can be extremely vaginal depending on how you cut them."
"You know, that is going to be on my mind the next time I cut a bell pepper, so thank you for that...I think." He laughed lightly.
"Well, I aim to please." She joked, "Were you following me?" She then asked out of the blue.
He paused but knew that honesty was the best policy, he didn't date much in his past life, but he made sure to always be honest with those who he dated. Raising a brow he nodded, "Yes, yes I was. Sorry if I sound like a perv doing that."
A small smile took over her face, "No. I mean, you might've... if you looked like a perv, which... I guess is me saying, good choice showering today."
"Oh, good. I debated about it so." Joe laughed.
There was a moment of awkward silence as there wasn't anything really to talk about after that, he was just going to walk away, but she stopped him by asking, "Oh! You work here?" She asked pointing at his apron.
He nodded, "Yeah, names Joe. I just got hired in the cafe. I don't start until tomorrow though."
"I do most of the buying for the store. I was just shopping for my dinner. Anyway, sorry. Love." She laughed a little at the expression on his face, "It is my name I mean."
"Cool, it is nice to meet you Love." Joe said as he grabbed some bread just to make it look like he was shopping as he was about to make his way out of the shop.
"Okay, well I will see you in the break room." She said with a smile as he began to walk away.
Nodding he left her behind and went to pay for his things. He had his first meeting with Love and hopefully things went well for this, he wanted a different outcome than the original Joe after all.

(Love POV)
She watched him walk away, the smile that was on her lips wouldn't leave as she was right, it was from a distance earlier but being closer she was sure now. Joe, he was like her she could see the darkness even if it was well hidden behind the smile that he tried to play off to her.
He was the one she had been waiting for, of course she still loved and missed James, but James didn't have what Joe had they were too different. She had found Joe, and she knew that she couldn't let him go, he would be the one to give her the family that she wanted.
'Joe Angel, what secrets are you hiding?' She thought to herself as she checked out just ten minutes after he had finished checking out.

(Joe POV)
After leaving the store Joe headed back home, he didn't have friends yet here, so he wanted to at least get some things out the way so that he wouldn't be worried. When he got back to his apartment Ellie wasn't there to stop him as he made his way in, going into his apartment he took out his laptop.
When it was powered on his hands began to fly across the keys as he was hacking into multiple places at once, he was going to get himself some money. While it may not be the right thing to do, he needed to do it in order to have a somewhat comfortable life here, LA was expensive after all.
After typing for a solid ten minutes, he had a new bank account which had a little over three hundred thousand in it, he would use that for now. He was sure that he also needed the money for something else, but he couldn't remember what he would need it for.
Shrugging he set his laptop to the side while heading to the kitchen to make himself dinner. He would deal with the Gacha later.
