章 4: Sweet but Psycho

Eclipse Princess hummed the song and cheerfully walked through the carnage-filled streets of Jerusalem, accompanied by her two knights, Rizo-Waal Strout and Fina-blood Svelten, who are known as Two Dead Apostle Ancestors knighted by her amidst the discrimination of others for knighting the food.

The two were simply very grateful for Eclipse Princess' trust in them and swore their loyalty to her.

"We have wandered aimlessly for far too long, Princess, should I have my own fun too?" Svelten couldn't help but feel impatient when he saw everyone having their own fun, and he was stuck here stargazing or whatever it was called, yeah, to be precise, stuck wandering aimlessly in the streets without doing anything productive.

"Be patient, Svelten, Princess should have her own plan for doing this." Rizo-Waal Strout glared.

"Unfortunately, I have no plan, Strout, I'm just bored and have nothing to do, and squashing the ants is something beneath me, it's boring." Eclipse Princess retorted playfully. "Playing the song is more fun than massacring humans. Yes, my brother invented a song named 'Sociopath.' This song is too fun for my liking. Should I change the tune to 'Sweet but Psycho'? How about it? Will you like them?"

"Ah... Princess, I beg you, I want to have fun. There are many pretty boys here to take." Svelten's mentality was broken when he realized Eclipse Princess was just playing around. Shit, is there any Brunestud who is normal and has common sense in their head?

"No, you will go with me." Altrouge refused simply as Svelten sighed tiredly and followed Eclipse Princess singing her broken song.

"Hah, don't be such a sucker, Svelten, you will have your own fun later. Do you know that Lord Bartholomeoi is rumored to be a pretty boy? Will you like him? My brother told me to go to him and interrogate him for the location of the Holy Grail, but I didn't see a single sign of him."

"But he is an old man... Where did you get the rumor he was a pretty boy?" Svelten couldn't help but shudder in fright and have a bad feeling about this.

"You will take his butt if he doesn't confess where the Holy Grail is. You see, this shouldn't be hard for you, right, Svelten? Play with him until he confesses." Eclipse Princess asked him with a playful gaze.

"Hahaha, you have this day too, Svelten." Strout laughed hilariously when he imagined Svelten thrusting his thing into the old man's butt.

"Fuck you." Svelten cursed Strout angrily.

"Okay, I have already found Bartholomeoi's whereabouts." Eclipse Princess halted her steps as a playful smirk formed on her face. "Bartholomeoi, come out, you heard me, right? You better get out now, or I will order Svelten to do what I said previously when I catch you."

"You are disgusting, Princess." Lord Bartholomeoi threw the invisible cloak in his hand and appeared in front of them with naked disgust on his face when he heard their conversation from the beginning to the end, especially the thrusting butt part.

Moreover, he knew that Eclipse Princess would do what she said; her casual cruelty for having fun in the middle of carnage and humming songs plus making cruel commands is enough to see that she never regards her enemy as an enemy at all. She only cares about fulfilling her goal and getting what she wanted, which is the Holy Grail. If he had it, then good, they would leave peacefully. If not, she would really implement what she said earlier.

"Thank you for your compliment, Bartholomeoi. Now, where is the Holy Grail?" Her eyes stayed on him, waiting patiently for him to answer her question.

The two knights who accompanied her, sensing the rising tension, unsheathed their swords and prepared for a fight.

"In your grave, Princess." Bartholomeoi sneered, a disdainful snort escaping his lips. With a flick of his wrist, he hurled a vial of holy water. The liquid transmuted mid-air, morphing into a volley of razor-sharp needles aimed at the trio.

Strout, ever the loyal protector, surged forward. He lunged, his blade a blur as he effortlessly deflected the needles. With a battle cry, he rushed toward Bartholomeoi.

Svelten, not wanting to be outdone, materialized countless blood spears, their tips aimed lethally at Bartholomeoi.

Undeterred, Bartholomeoi stood confidently despite being outnumbered. A low chant rumbled from his lips.

"Stop him, Strout." Altrouge frowned at the chanting and noticed that Bartholomeoi wanted to summon a powerful beast at his beck.

As if responding to the call, the earth trembled violently. A monstrous white dragon materialized from the fissure, its eyes burning with an unholy fire.

Its massive tail slammed into Strout, sending him sprawling. The dragon's scales, like plates of impenetrable armor, deflected the blood spears with a sickening thud.

"You're late, Vortigern." Bartholomeoi growled, a hint of annoyance lacing his voice.

"Humph," the dragon grumbled, smoke curling from its nostrils. "This wasn't part of the deal, magi."

Bartholomeoi ignored the dragon's complaint.

"Now, get out of here, Princess, bring your brother along with you. When Zelretch arrives, you will stand no chance against us." He threatened and gave his ultimatum to them.

"Hahaha, are you done, clown? You seem to mistake me for being weaker than my brother because I am a half-breed." Altrouge laughed harshly.

The sound of laughter echoed through the night, devoid of humor. As her laughter died down, a change swept over her. Her petite form stretched and reformed. Gone was the short, cute princess they first encountered, her eyes blazing crimson. In her place stood a tall, regal figure, the very embodiment of an Eclipse Princess. The stench of blood in the air coalesced around her, the wind of night turned icy cold, and the moon bled a crimson red.

Bartholomeoi stumbled back, the blood draining from his face. He and Vortigern could feel their life force being siphoned away as they stood before the terrifying visage of the Eclipse Princess.

"No, this is bad," Vortigern rasped, his voice laced with urgency. "Bartholomeoi, she's transforming into her Eclipse Princess form! We need to escape before it's too late!"

Bartholomeoi's face was a mask of horror. "Hah... regrettable indeed," he sighed.

With a desperate leap, he scrambled onto Vortigern's back.

The dragon took flight, soaring through the sky with surprising agility, dodging the crimson blood arrows that erupted from the ground in their pursuit.

They disappeared into the night, leaving the battlefield bathed in the eerie glow of the blood moon.
