Chapter 33: Suri Drew: The Girl Who Doesn't Know Her Fate
As I slowly drove towards the bridge, I spoke, my voice laced with excitement. "Look, I'm going to use my initial voice ability now."
I thought to myself, Huh, I'm happy today. My childhood friends and personal maid accepted my proposal. Now, I'm going to drink all night. But wait, what's that girl doing by the side of the bridge? Is she going to jump?
This scene felt oddly familiar, reminding me of that novel where the wife brags about the protagonist getting a certain thing. He's supposed to meet her at 11:00 at night, and it's only 30 minutes left, but she's so innocent she doesn't realize he's just said a few words, and the next morning they're married.
Wait, what's happening to my car?
Well, let's see.
Turning to the girls in the car, I said, "Girls, I'll stop the car now. She's going to turn around soon. She's the president and founder of a small company."
Olivia looked at me, intrigued. "Which company, Raghav?"
"I guess she's the founder of Drew Rental Corporation," I replied.
They all responded with a collective "Ohhh" as I started the car again. But it didn't start. I groaned and got out, opening the car's bumper to check the engine.
Meanwhile, the girl near the bridge turned around and glanced toward me. I didn't say anything to her yet. Inside the car, I muttered to myself, "Dear, did the car start yet?"
Lao smirked at the other girls, her voice playful. "No, honey. Please, try again."
The other girls glared at her, but before anything could happen, the girl from the bridge walked over to me. She spoke with a calm, confident voice, "I know how to repair cars, Mr."
I was caught off guard, feigning surprise. "Ah, uh, yes, please check my car. I'm getting late."
She nodded and began inspecting the car. I secretly winked at the girls inside the car and activated my voice ability. Oh, she's Suri Drew. She's so innocent and kind-hearted, but she doesn't know that the man she's going to marry tomorrow is excellent at controlling his emotions and faking loyalty. After 20 years of marriage, he cheats with a girl named Quinn Pawel, gets her pregnant, and then kills Suri, making it look like an accident. She's just a reward from a novice system for Yagil Navok, who has nothing to his name.
As I was thinking this, Suri flinched and dropped a tool to the ground. I quickly asked, "What happened, Miss? Why did you drop that?"
She nervously replied, "Oh, uh, sorry. I dropped it by mistake."
I nodded, signaling her to continue. "It's okay. Please, continue fixing the car."
I asked her casually, "Miss, what are you doing out here at this hour? You know there are bad people around at this time."
She paused, then explained, "I was concerned about my company. As the president of a small company, I want to create more projects, but I don't have the funds for it. But I have to do this to impress my mom, to show her that I'm not a loser, living off my parents' money."
I was impressed by her determination. "That's good thinking. I really like it. You know, I want to ask—would you like to become my business partner?"
She looked up, surprised. "In which field?"
I smiled and replied, "I want to start a new business in the rental sector. What do you think?"
Her eyes widened in shock as she said, "I own a small rental company."
I nodded, knowing this was the perfect opportunity. "Which company? I'm interested in investing. I also want to start a new venture in that sector."
"I'm Suri Drew, founder and president of Drew Rental Corporation," she replied.
I was impressed. "Oh, that's a new company. Alright, I understand. Well, I'm Raghav Ye King, and I own businesses in many sectors. I'm looking to start a new business in the rental industry."
Her shock deepened. "Wait… You own businesses in many sectors? What kind of businesses?"
