Chapter 5:
"You have come to test me and my brother, am I right Reverend Mother?" Jake spoke slowly in a calm voice.
"Fine, I shall play your little game." Jake said intimidatingly as he held out his hands. Reverend Mother squinted her eyes at such crass response and pushed out of the small box on the arm rest saying.
"You are very different from all our prospects, Jake Atreides." She remarked.
"And that makes you dangerous." She remarked dangerously.
"I would consider that as a compliment."
"Pull out your Gom Jabbar. I'm gonna take the test." Jake said.
Reverend Mother looked at Jake with a glare, she hated the fact that this young man who she was supposed to be testing was turning around the table.
But she complied and pulled out her poison needle. Then she pointed it at Jake's neck.
"One small prick and instant death." She said.
Jake nodded as his hands then entered the box, and subsequently followed by that action was a buzzing noise.
Then suddenly Jake felt intense searing pain tearing his flesh. It was pain no unskilled human could endure without showing intense reaction.
The box that induces pain in is known as the Gom Jabbar test, specifically, the box itself doesn't have a distinct name, but it is an integral part of the test.
The test is designed to distinguish humans from animals based on their ability to withstand and overcome instinctual reactions. It measures self-control, intelligence, and the capacity to endure pain without giving in to the primal urge to escape it.
Inside the box, the subject feels excruciating pain, described as if their flesh is being consumed by flames. However, the pain is an illusion created by nerve induction, and no physical damage is actually done to the hand.
The test is a rite of passage for those who are considered for higher levels of training or responsibility within the Bene Gesserit order. It serves as a way to ensure that the individual possesses the necessary qualities to control their instincts and act with reasoned judgment.
And at this moment Jake once again proved that he is the most talented and promising prospect of the Bene Gesserit program.
The latter didn't even show any sign of pain, there was no twitching of muscle, there was no suppressed grunting, and there was no violent reaction.
He was just standing there with his hands in the box, his eyes calmly gazing at the Reverend Mother.
"Enough!" She cried out and Jake pulled his hand away from the box. He looked at it seeing no scars despite feeling the searing pain.
"Don't take me for a fool, Reverend Mother. I know your schemes, there is nothing I do not see. You wanted the Kwisatz Haderach, well you have him. I am him. But remember the deal you have made with the Harkonnen. This aggression you have made against my House made you my enemy. However, you can regain my favor if you work with me." Jake declared with a strong voice. His tone was cold and sharp, as chilling as the northern wind.
"I am fully aware of everything. But I do not want you to stop. Continue your scheme, form an alliance between the Harkonnen and the Emperor and attack us in Arrakis." After saying those, Jake turned around and left the room.
"The Kwisatz Haderach. We finally succeeded, Jessica." A small smile came out of her mouth. Gone was her stern face and replaced by a happy and fulfilled smile.
Even Jessica was smiling ear to ear from the revelation. But it was a smile of uncertainty, she do not wether this is a good thing or a bad thing but no matter what happens she will stay at Jake's side.

Hundreds of ships from House Atreides take off from their dear planet Caladan and into orbit. Their hundred ships; though huge at the perspective of a human, are dwarfing in comparison next to the cosmic bodies.
It looked like a single strand of line of dust was traveling up the atmosphere and into orbit to go through the Heighliners.
The tubical portal used for instantaneous travel under the Spacing Guild.
As their ships passed through the portal they arrived at the desert Planet Arrakis.
The giant planet that is rich warm earthy dark sand limewash in color. It was beautiful, to think this planet was the source of the single most important substance in the universe is quite baffling.
After getting the proper conditions right the ship landed on the ground.
Their ship was met with a large crowd, both the advance team from the Atreides who were sent weeks earlier after getting the decree and the natives.
A large procession was made to welcome the new ruler of Arrakis. The giant door of the ship opened and the desert wind alongside the sand flashes through their faces.
"Let's go." Leto commanded and they unboarded the ship.
As the procession of the new stewards of the desert planet continued there were some muffled shouts from the native people.
But the shout weren't cheers perse, but more on a loud question.
"Lisan Al-gaib?"
"Lisan Al-gaib!"
"Lisan Al-gaib!"
"Lisan Al-gaib?"
Their voices was divided, there were those who were more firm on their shouts but in contrast there were those who were in hesitation.
But nontheless, the primary essense of their chant was synchronized, and that is the word Lisan Al-gaib; The Voice from the Outer World.
Paul looked at them in confusion, wondering what is the meaning of their shout while Jake had his footstep firm and unyielding.
"My Lord!" Thufir Hawat greeted. He was one of the advance delegation who were in charge of the logistic.
"Thufir!" Paul's eyes beamed when he saw the latter and ran towards him for hug. Thufir smiled as he reciprocated the warm gesture before turning his attention towards Jake.
"Young Master, I pray that your journey has been well." He bowed.
"It was a smooth sail." Jake nodded. After giving his greetings towards the two young master he returned his attention towards Leto.
"My Duke," He greeted as he thumped his chest.
