The next day, Emily awoke without Klaus noticing, and as she tried to get out of bed, she immediately felt a sharp pain tearing through her lower body. Her thigh muscles trembled with every step she took.

Emily made her way to the bathroom, where she gazed into the mirror and saw that her neck and arms were covered in strawberry-hued kiss marks from Klaus.

"This tyrant really means every word he says."

Not only had he made it impossible for her to walk, but he had also made it difficult for her to see clearly.

After Emily had washed her face and brushed her teeth, she made her way to the drawing room, where the table was already set with cutlery and breakfast. She glanced at the vintage-style clock on the wall, which read 12 o'clock.

Emily didn't think she had slept for so long, and perhaps it wasn't breakfast anymore, but lunch.
