"In the end, it will all come to an end..."
"Hehehe~~~"
Rhea chuckled softly, shaking her head as she said quietly, "Yes! Everything is changing, and in such circumstances, who knows what the outcome will be?"
"But!"
Rhea looked at the serious Hades and said gently, "Hades, you believe in your victory, but I also believe in His Majesty's victory. In my eyes, His Majesty will never fail, even if..."
Rhea's voice trailed off and stopped.
Undeniably, Cronus, the Titan God-King, had been greatly weakened. Under almost every kind of suppression in the world, Cronus had reached his limit, or was very close to it.
However!
There's a saying: "When you hit rock bottom, you bounce back!" If Cronus is pushed to his absolute limit and still cannot be defeated, then the outcome will be uncertain.
After all!
Anyone with even a bit of sense knows that when facing the supreme Titan God-King, giving him even the slightest chance could lead to unforeseen results.
Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus understood their invincible Titan God-King father very well.
"Mother," Hades said softly, "you're right. When it comes to this point, no one can predict victory or defeat."
"But."
"Similarly, when it comes to this point, no one can retreat. This is the destined outcome."
"No one can retreat..."
Rhea shook her head at Hades' words, ultimately saying nothing more. She simply said, "Hades, alright! As a mother, I've said all I can. For me..."
"Well~~~"
Rhea's lips curled into a smile as she walked up to Hades, gently touching his cheek. This was the last time a mother would look at her child.
Rhea spoke tenderly, "As a mother, I have been a failure. As a wife, I have also failed. Even though I know what I'm doing, I can't stop myself."
"I am!"
"A truly failed mother and wife, but this is where I stop. Hades, as a wife, I hope for my husband's victory. As a mother, I am very proud of your growth. My child, I hope your future is bright."
In her final moments, Rhea did not choose to stand by her husband as a wife.
Because!
Rhea knew that if her husband won, she would wake up again, but her children would be gone forever.
Even if her husband lost, it wouldn't be a big deal. Each of her children, all of her siblings, were bound to their mother. As long as she was safe, they would awaken one day.
Rhea gently caressed Hades' cheek. In her final moment, she chose to end her life as a mother. She looked forward to her children's success and was pleased with how far they had come.
Poseidon?
Zeus?
Well~~~
To Rhea, her three daughters were insignificant. Compared to Poseidon and Zeus, Rhea knew they had never truly respected her as a mother.
Even if!
She was an unfit mother, but her eldest son always respected her, even as an enemy. This made Rhea very happy.
No matter what, today, this was enough. Rhea's hand gently touched Hades' cheek as her body began to turn to stone at a visible speed.
As the Goddess of Time, Rhea's time was rapidly disappearing, and she turned into a statue.
It didn't matter who took Rhea's time; this was her final and best outcome. Otherwise, how could anyone truly end their mother's life?
"..."
Hades remained silent, watching as Rhea turned to stone. After a long time, he said softly, "Mother, rest well."
Hades raised his hand, placing his mother's statue in the Underworld, along with the floating Chu Zhen. Regardless of the future, at least his mother's statue would not be destroyed in the upcoming battles.
Strangely enough!
Even though Rhea, Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus had no affection for each other and fought ruthlessly.
However!
Hades still had deep respect for Rhea and Cronus, his father and mother. Perhaps because of the fusion of two new souls, Hades believed that no matter what, respect for one's parents was essential.
Otherwise!
He would not be worthy of being called a god or even a living being. Even animals had their feelings. Should he abandon the basic respect for his parents?
Hades would not do that. He would not hold back, but his respect was undeniable! This wasn't pretense, but simple emotion, or perhaps, his basic principle.
At that moment, a figure as calm as the Aegean Sea stepped out.
He walked forward calmly and said, "Hades, is Zeus still the slowest?"
Poseidon's tone was clearly a question, yet it was devoid of emotion, turning the question into a statement.
"Only Zeus is left," Hades replied softly, also emotionless, as everything had returned to normal.
Poseidon said no more and stood there, waiting quietly.
Indeed!
