"Were you the one who killed Jake and Aryen, Connor?"

Alexa's voice shook as she finally asked Connor. Alexa's emotions rose again when Connor didn't seem to have any intention of answering her question.

"DID YOU KILL THEM, CONNOR?!" Alexa snapped in frustration. This time, Connor chuckled. He stepped forward to gently stroke Irina's large portrait.

"I'm not like you and Jake, Ava. I'm not very strong, nor do I have great military achievements like the two of you. Irina is better than me in carrying out missions. General Hugo said he would never agree to my marriage to Irina, even if I sold my soul to him."

Alexa listened to all the confessions in silence. The gun slowly lowered as she realized Connor had no intention of fighting her.
