Slater flinched when he heard Atlas's voice ring out in the dining room. Turning his head toward the entrance, he arched a brow and watched his eldest brother storm straight toward him. He leaned back when Atlas stood very close, grabbing his arm and inspecting it closely.

Atlas checked Slater's wrists and arms for any injuries or wounds, taking hold of his other arm to check as well. Given the severity of the accident, Slater should have had a bruise or some injury. But there was none.
