Dean couldn't help but laugh as he recalled Slater's warning. After saying that, Slater stepped back and offered Dean a charming smile, showing no trace of his earlier hostility. With that, Slater happily returned to his car and sped away, even honking to tease him before leaving.

"Sir," Dean's assistant called. "Should we be worried about Slater Bennet?"

"There's no need for that." Dean shook his head. "He's just playing because he's bored. As someone who's always out and about, I'm certain his long-overdue vacation is killing him. So, let him be."

The assistant nodded. "Yes, sir."

Meanwhile, Dean leaned back and gazed out the window. He should have been mad about all of this, but in a way, he was amused. First Penny, now Slater—both were invading the Pierson family. It was so ridiculous he could only shake his head and laugh.
