章 507: Say less

The force that pulled Penny into the bathroom was so strong that she barely caught her breath. Before she knew it, her back was against the door. The impact, however, was lessened by the arm that circled her waist.

Her eyes shook momentarily as she felt Zoren's firm body pressed against hers. The heated air of his breath touched her upper lip, making her slowly lift her gaze to meet his. A few buttons of his inner dress shirt were already undone, and his hair cascaded over his brows. As he lowered his head, the shadow cast upon his face accentuated its natural contours.

"Ren… ren?" 

His arm rested firmly at her side, his lips parting as he breathed out, "I can't."

"Not tonight," he whispered, tilting his head as he lowered it. "I can't let you go tonight — not tonight."
