章 15: Just The Beginning
Theron's eyes widened further as a wave of exhilaration washed over him. He looked around and noticed the stares he was getting. It seemed like it was not only his family who heard what he had said.
"Did the young lord really say that?"
"The young lord can now speak?"
"Woah! This is even more amazing!"
The guests hurriedly exclaimed out loud as their eyes widened in pure shock and amusement. Even Allyza and Theron were shocked by what happened.
'Uh-oh. I didn't mean to cause that much attention.' Theron thought as he hesitantly smiled. He kept his mouth shut as the adults around him expressed their exaggerated reactions. Somehow, it was quite tiring to listen to all of them.
'Let's just think of what attributes should I accomplish' Theron thought as he was left alone in his chair attended by Rian, while the rest of his family exchanged pleasantries with the other nobles.

Theron quickly scanned the system interface, seeing the familiar attributes awaiting his decision. He knew that he needed to choose wisely, as these upgrades would help him as he grew up.
'Should I go for communication again?' Theron deeply thought.
Communication seems like another logical choice. Since he had already said his first word, upgrading it would even advance his abilities in talking. It was tiring to spout just nonsense everytime.
'Then for my next upgrade, I should go for my magic. Since I've already shown the people my potential with it, then I just couldn't hide and never show it again.'
Enhancing his magical abilities would allow him to control and wield magic with greater precision and power. Despite his current grade of F in that aspect, he had already successfully executed his plan earlier.
He wondered what it would be like once it was totally upgraded.
Without hesitation, Theron decided to upgrade his Communication and Magic. He knew that these attributes would be the most beneficial in his current standing.

A warm sensation spread through Theron's body as the upgrades took effect. He immediately felt his mind sharpening. At the same time, the connection to the mana inside him grew slightly stronger as if the energy flowing through him increased. .

'Oh? My Mana also increased.' Theron thought. However, as his eyes glanced over at the very bottom, his curiosity about his skills suddenly appeared.
'System, what about my skills? When will I be able to acquire some?'

'I see…' Theron secretly nodded. It seemed like he still had a long way to go. He needed to settle with forming balls for the meantime.

'Ohh? That's such a boost.' Theron was surprised to see that he had jumped 4 grades that quickly. It seemed like his reputation to the nobles now had drastically increased after what he had done earlier.
Somehow, he had become more determined to practice his Magic and accomplish tasks. Speaking of that, he hasn't even seen his new set of tasks.
'System, show me my tasks.'

'Hmm, it's easier now.' Theron's lips curved up as he read the tasks he needed to accomplish. Although it would also take time, it's much easier to do now.
"Theron…" Allyza excused herself from the mass of people blocking her way.
"Are you tired now, My child?" Picking up Theron from the chair, Allyza sweetly smiled as she gently placed Theron in her arms. She was filled with pride and joy today after everything that had happened.
"Ma…ma Ahym… Fhamaayn!" (Mom, I'm fine.)
Theron answered, slightly surprised that he could still form some words and not just pure random sounds.
Ha! It seemed like upgrading his communication was the best choice!
Allyza chuckled when she heard Theron's bubbly tone. She scrunched her nose and lightly swayed her body from left to right as if comforting Theron.
"You're growing up so fast, my little one," she whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "I'm so proud of you."
"Nyaha!" (I'm proud of myself too.}
As Allyza continued to hold him close, Theron felt a wave of contentment wash over him. It wasn't long until his father, Tyron, arrived near them. "You've given us a night to remember, son. We're so proud of you."
Charlize, still bubbling with excitement, excitedly ran to her family when she saw them gathering together in the middle of the ballroom.
"You're amazing, my little brother! I can't wait to see what you'll do next!"
Theron looked around at his family, their faces filled with love and pride. He was glad to see their expressions.
"Tsiwehh! Nyaaa Jaa Beyaaninging!"
'Don't worry, Mother, Father, and Sister. This is only the beginning.'
