Valerie woke up after an exhausting night, to find Max sitting next to her. He had a book in hand and quite the pair of sexy spectacles rearing on his nose bridge.

She blinked her eyes and looked towards the window. The curtains were drawn in but she could see light trying to sip in from the corners.

'It's probably morning.' she thought. Yet, the idea of getting out of bed did not please her.

Max noticed her little movements and looked down at her, only to find her awake.

"You're awake." He said, placing down the book. "Did you sleep well? How do you feel? Does your back hurt? Any discomfort?"

He showered her with questions of concern that she could not help but stare at him with affectionate eyes. This man... Did he forget he was the one who got out of control? As if three times in the car wasn't enough, he went another extra three after getting back.
