　　I startled and whirled around to find Rake hurrying towards me, his face thunderous.

　　Before I could respond, he was at my side, glaring down at me. "How did you even find your way out?"

　　I blinked up at him, surprised by his anger. And a little irritated, too.

　　"What are you worried about?" I muttered. "You said yourself, Cazz won't care what I do as long as he gets his puppies."

　　"Safely, Jesse. As long as you do it safely. And trust me, there is no way on God's green earth that Cazz thinks his Queen being out here alone, where anyone could find her is safe."

　　"Cazz does not see me as his Queen," I muttered.

　　"What the hell has gotten into you, Jesse? I know yesterday was rough, but seriously? Running away? Hiding? I've been looking for you for an hour-I almost called the guard. I almost told Cazz."

　　"Oh, shit," I breathed. I hadn't even thought about if someone else looked for me, and that they might tell Cazz I was missing.
