Next day
The next morning, Suoh slowly opened his eyes, the memories of the previous night flooding back as his senses gradually came to life. The pounding headache was gone, but the lingering sense of unease remained. As he sat up, he found himself in a small, dimly lit room, the air thick with the scent of incense. The events from the warehouse felt like a distant nightmare, but the unfamiliar energy still hummed faintly within him, a constant reminder of what had happened.
Tia and Med were waiting for him. Tia stood by the window, her arms crossed, while Med leaned against the wall, his gaze intense but less hostile than before.
"You're awake," Tia said, her tone calm yet purposeful. "We need to talk."
Suoh nodded, still trying to make sense of everything. "What happened to me? What was all that... sensation?" In an uncertain tone he inquired.
He looked himself in the mirror if there were some physical changes, fortunately there were none with a sigh of relief, he then stared at Med and Tia as it was morning with plenty of light unlike last night he was able to see their appearance.
Tiamat stands at about 170 cm, with a commanding yet almost ethereal presence. Her dark, shimmering scales cover her serpentine body, while multiple dragon-like heads with glowing red eyes exude an ancient, primal fury. Despite her relatively human height, her wings and the aura of chaos she radiates make her feel larger. Tiamat embodies the raw power of an old era, her very existence a reminder of the untamed forces of destruction.
Medusa stands around 160 cm tall, her slender frame radiating both grace and danger. Her long, flowing purple hair falls down her back, partially concealing her lethal presence. She wears a sleek black bodysuit, accentuating her agile build. Despite her height, Medusa's aura is one of immense power, her chains wrapped around her arms, ready to strike with deadly precision.
Med pushed herself off the wall, her voice gruff but not unkind. "That, kid, was curse energy. It's something all sorcerers and curses deal with. Last night, you unleashed a hell of a lot of it, more than someone untrained should be able to handle. Quite a strange phenomena"
'What's that?' Reading Suoh's confused expression.
Tia stepped forward, her expression softening slightly as she spoke. "Curse energy is the manifestation of negative emotions—fear, anger, hatred. In this world, it's what fuels curses, and it's what sorcerers like us use to fight them. What you felt was your own curse energy awakening. It's rare for someone to unlock that kind of power out of nowhere, which makes you... unique."
Suoh listened intently, trying to absorb the information. "So... what does that mean for me?"
"You have potential and worth a special grade curse energy user," Med interjected. "Uncontrolled curse energy can get you killed—or worse, get others killed. We're going to teach you how to harness it, how to use it, and most importantly, how to keep it from consuming you."
[A/n: She is exaggerating. You need at least 8 or above to be a special grade.]
Tia nodded in agreement. "There's a lot to cover. You'll learn about curse techniques, how to channel your energy into attacks, how to defend yourself against curses. But first, you need to understand the basics."
Suoh's heart raced with excitement and determination. "Where do we start?" he asked, his voice brimming with enthusiasm.
Med, leaning back in his chair with a skeptical expression, interrupted. "Wait, wait, wait. Who told you we'd do this for free?"
Suoh's eagerness wavered, and he turned to Tia, his voice pleading. ".....Can't you do something about it, Tia? Please?"
Tia hesitated, her eyes darting between Suoh and Med. She knew Suoh's pleading was hard for her to resist. "Ummm, Haaa mmm, what about a binding vow?" Her voice was uncertain but hopeful, suggesting a solution that could protect everyone involved.
Med's irritation flared. "Tia, whose side are you on!!" She snapped, clearly frustrated by the delay and the complicated proposal.
Suoh's face brightened at the mention of the binding vow. "What are binding vows? From the sound of it, I think we could strike a good deal for both sides!" he asked, eager to understand how this might work in their favor.
Tia took a deep breath, trying to calm the situation. "A binding vow is a formal agreement where both parties commit to specific terms. It ensures that each side upholds their end of the bargain. And if not, something very harsh happens."
Med grumbled but seemed to consider the idea. "So, you're saying this vow would make sure everyone sticks to their promises?" Suoh said, and began to think what he can truly offer them which could be worth it.
Tia nodded vigorously. "Exactly! It's a way to make sure we're all on the same page and committed to the terms."
Med sighed, still grumbling but more resigned. "Fine, if it means we can get things moving, let's go with it."
With a renewed sense of purpose, the three of them began drafting the terms of the binding vow. The atmosphere shifted from tense to cooperative as they worked together, each now more confident that their goals would be met and their partnership solidified.
[A/n: Will show later what they agreed with and make some suspense.]

Tia smiled faintly, sensing his resolve. "Let's start with the fundamentals. First, you need to learn how to feel your curse energy, how to recognize its presence within you. Close your eyes and focus. Find that hum, that sensation you felt last night. That's your curse energy. You have to be able to control it before you can do anything else."
Suoh did as he was told, closing his eyes and concentrating. It took a few moments, but gradually, he began to feel it—a faint, pulsing warmth deep within his core. It was subtle, almost like a heartbeat, but as he focused, the sensation grew stronger, more defined.
Med watched him closely. "Good. Now, focus on controlling it. Imagine it as a flow of energy inside you. Don't let it run wild; guide it, shape it. Make it yours."
Suoh furrowed his brow in concentration, trying to mold the energy within him as Med described. It wasn't easy—the energy was wild, unpredictable—but with every passing second, he felt a small measure of control begin to take hold.
"That's it," Tia encouraged. "The more you practice, the easier it will become. Soon, you'll be able to summon that energy at will and use it in different ways."
Suoh opened his eyes, breathing a little heavier but feeling a sense of accomplishment. "This... this is going to take some time, isn't it?"
Med smirked. "You've got a long road ahead of you, kid. But with practice and patience, you'll get there. We'll be with you every step of the way."
Tia nodded, her expression serious. "But remember, this power is a double-edged sword. Use it wisely, or it could consume you. We're not just training you to be strong—we're training you to be disciplined, to understand the consequences of your actions."
Suoh nodded, determination steeling his resolve. "I understand. I'm ready to learn."
