“Yeah, we’re here in Lexington. No, dad—“ Lucas spoke on the phone, and my heart sank as I knew with whom he was having the conversation. “Don’t worry. She’s okay,” he gestured to me whether I would like to speak with dad, but I shook my head, signaling that it’s negative.

I might burst out crying and not be able to talk to him. It’s been what? Ten years? Ten years that I didn’t see him nor talk to him. And I still don’t know what to say to him. I wasn’t ready yet.
