章 19: The scare
Sweet music emanated from Isamu's house . The birds and the small critters outside paused whatever they were doing as they listened to this wholesome melody . The sun was rising and a new head was added to the balcony .
Isamu had specifically taken special care to the new head. It now had no eyes nor teeth , its jawline was open and dried blood was seen in its eye sockets.
Why do this ? It instilled fear to the hearts of his future enemies . No matter how strong a person is they will always subconsciously fear a mad man .
Grayfia watched from a distance using her enhanced devil eyes . She held an emotionless expression but in her heart she was shocked by what she saw.
Their contact was mutilated to say the least . She inwardly sighed at this . Sirzechs was going to be angry and make more irrational decisions. The very fact that Isamu had killed this mage showed his combat prowess that clearly wasn't self taught.
No 15 year old boy would kill this mage assassin known for even killing high ranked devils that easily unless they were taught by someone powerful.
Grayfia subconsciously imagined a backing that was never there.
She teleported away and appeared next to Sirzechs who was signing documents in his neatly decorated office.
" Is he dead ?" Sirzechs asked without looking up .
" No , the human was unsuccessful " Grayfia responded in a monotone.
Sirzechs looked up with a clear shock .
" He died ? "
" Yes , It seems Isamu has someone backing him up " Grayfia chose to answer it ambiguously hoping Sirzechs would not make any more rash decisions.
Sirzechs frowned as he thought for some while .
" Do you know who is backing him ? " Sirzechs asked.
Grayfia shook her head .
" Hmm very well then , send a few high ranked stray devils to kill him . Tell them their stray status will be revoked. " Sirzechs said.
" I advice you against .... "
BANG
" ..... I will do it right away " Grayfia said before teleporting away , her emotionless face changed to that of slight sadness.
Ever since Sirzechs heard about the coming of Ddraig he had changed . He changed even more when he actually met the perverted host. Was it the dragon's natural power to attract people ? But it only worked on females or was Sirzechs gay ? That would certainly explain most phenomenons.

It was lunch time . Isamu sat on the dinner table as he ate his steak he had cooked and read one of Dostoevsky's writings . He had a small smile as his thinking zone { Playing the violin } had borne fruit. He had found a way to improve his technique by feeling the aura of the demonic cycle . This would at least double his cultivation speed which was already absurdly fast .
In the background a bunch of people moved parts of a machine to the basement which he had tampered with to make it look as if it were normal .
At the basement there were certain mechanics who would reassemble the machine. They were confused and scared due to the nature of the machine . What was the machine ? A meat shredder .
They were scared mostly because they were putting it in a basement . The kid was definitely a serial killer or something . They were right about that .
As the movers offloaded the machine outside , they chatted in slight suspicion of the person. They seemed unaware of a stray devil on the side of the truck . He wore a hoodie that hid all his features . The only thing that was noticeable was the lizard like tail protruding out of his back .
" I heard the kid lost his guardian who was extremely rich ."
" Yeah I heard that too . So why does he need a meat shredder ? " One of the new movers asked.
The middle aged mover just looked at him incredulously .
" He is most likely a serial killer . Most of them are " The middle aged mover said.
" Surely he isn't I mean I would believe any person but did you see how nice he was to us ? That isn't the face of a serial killer " The young man said.
" You fool , that's how most serial killers are . Do you think they are normally antisocial and look bad ? No , most of them are the most social and charming people out there and he reeks of it "
" Have you ever met a serial killer ?" The young man asked.
The middle aged man sighed.
" Yes , in fact two of them who also ordered their meat shredder to be put in the basement . They were so nice , especially that seductress but they were eventually caught and taken to jail. " The middle aged man said
The young man shuddered .
" I will definitely not allow my sister in kuoh to be near that guy "
" That is probably for the best "
Meanwhile the stray devil who heard this was sweating bullets . He saw the heads on the front lawn that only supernaturals can see and now a meat shredder.
He watched the movers head to the house before glancing at it . He only took a peek before returning his head back while panting . His heartbeat quickened and fear rose in his heart.
He was previously confident in his abilities but now ? Now he was scared . First of all the more decomposed head was definitely Dohnaseek , the devil hunter who instilled fear in all the strays in kuoh yet now he was decorative in someone's verandah . However that wasn't scared him . What truly scared him was Isamu himself
He quickly disappeared with the shadows before reappearing in an abandoned warehouse with 3 other stray devils . One of them had goat legs and cracked skin , another had an ant body with only a male human head .
Another had snake tail for legs and the upper body part of a beautiful green haired female.
He removed his hoodie to show his red face with lizard like scales and eyes. He held a scared expression .
" Guys , I think we shouldn't go with the plan " The lizard man said.
" What are you mad ? This is our chance to be accepted back and better yet to look normal once more !! " The snake lady said .
" I know .... but if we go there something tells me we will die . "
" What did you see ?" The ant man said.
" Our target ordered a meat shredder , has decorated Dohnaseek's head in his front lawn without care of the fallen's retaliation and .... and " The Lizard man hesitated .
" Speak up !! " Goat man ordered.
" When I peered at him he looked back , his eyes . They were full of divine energy yet they held a certain malice in it . " The lizard man recounted before he gazed at the three.
" Do you really want to fight a person with energy equal to those angels yet so ruthless that he would make a person radiating kind divine energy feel so scary ?!! " He asked.
" Clearly you are over exaggerating " The goat man said after scoffing .
" No he is right , Lady Grayfia herself said to watch out for Isamu . If lady Grayfia herself was wary of him so should we. " The ant man reasoned.
" So what , we don't attack him ?" The snake lady asked.
" No we attack him but we attack him with strategically rather than using pure brute force without brains " The ant man said as he momentarily gazed at the goat man
The goat man scoffed before folding his arms.
" We one shot him before he can even use his power. " The ant man emphasized.
He was the cautious person of the group. Even if the lizard man exaggerated something , it was far much better to take it as it as if he underestimated the danger itself rather than regret later.
