My heart skipped a beat, the news catching me off guard. "An evaluation? Today?"

Chloe nodded, her expression serious. "Yeah, they announced it this morning. I guess they want to see how we've progressed."

I took a deep breath, trying to steady the flutter of nerves in my stomach. I'd been working hard, and I knew I'd improved, but evaluations always made me a little anxious. It wasn't just about showing what I could do it was about proving to myself that I was capable, that I belonged here.

"Okay," I said, nodding more to myself than to Chloe. "We can do this."
