Vulcan's POV
"Eleanor, stop it!" I warned her, my voice serious.
But she wouldn't listen. Eleanor never did. She touched her exposed toes peeking out from her heels and deliberately ran them featherlight over my ankle. "Eleanor, I said stop it," I demanded, pushing her leg away from mine under the table.
My actions prompted a muffled snort from her, one that only I could hear. I shifted my gaze to catch her expression, while still maintaining my attention on the board members, ensuring no one else noticed what was happening.
She began leaning towards me, as if to touch her lips to mine, but I quickly turned my face away to focus forward.
However, she settled her mouth at the entrance of my ear, her breath fanning me. "I won't stop, not until you fulfill your promise."
Without looking her way, I flared my nostrils and muttered, "What promise, Eleanor? I didn't promise you anything."
