Grace was lost in thought as she stirred the food on the stove. She couldn't sleep properly yesterday because her mom left yesterday with an assured look, like she knew that something would happen and she would have no choice but to find her.

"Grace" Nel hurried to her and turned off the stove as she had burned the food that she insisted so much on making for Mr. Xu.

"I am sorry," she sighed, and Nel smiled at her.

"Maybe I should make the food while you rest, okay?"

Grace nodded and walked to the sitting room and picked up her phone. As usual, Mr. Xu did not text or call her. She thought they were bonding.

She dialed his number, and after a few rings, it went to voicemail. She called again but received no response, so she decided to send him a message.

"If you don't pick up, then I am coming to your place."
