Bella quickly broke the silence, "Sorry for stepping on you," She made up an excuse, stealing the chance to hold Davian's arm and pat his shoulder.

There was a couple of throat clearing at the table but they went back to their discussion and with a silent sigh of relief, Lake moved to take his leg back, unable to look Davian in the face.
