章 161: Wishes

Lily grins and scrambles to her feet, brushing the grass off her dress.

"Are you new here? I don't think I've seen you before."

Malik nods. "Yes, I... I just moved in. I'm staying with the, uh, the owners of this place."

Lily's eyes widen even further. "Wow, you must be really important! I wish I could live here too." She glances around, as if trying to spot any potential threats. "Do you like it here?"

Malik hesitates, unsure of how to answer. "It's... it's nice, I suppose. But I miss my family a lot."

Lily frowns sympathetically. "I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe you could visit them sometimes?"

Before Malik can respond, a shrill voice cuts through the air.

"Malik! There you are!"

Malik's heart sinks as he sees Robin striding towards them, her expression thunderous.

"What are you doing out here?" she demands, glaring at Malik. "I told you to stay away from the servants' children."
