章 41: Rightful Heir

A sudden ringing jolts her from her thoughts, and Robin quickly answers her phone. "Hello, this is Charlotte Emerson speaking."

Ramsey's voice crackles over the line. "Robin, I'm going to be away for a while on a business trip. It might be a few days, so I've arranged for someone to handle things in my absence. Their name is Ale, and you can reach them if you need anything."

Robin's brow furrows as she processes the unexpected news. "Ale? Uh, that's okay, I guess. But…. is everything really alright, Ramsey?" She can't help but feel a twinge of concern.

"Yes, yes, everything's fine. I have some personal matters to attend to. I'll be in touch." Ramsey's tone is reassuring, but Robin can't shake the feeling that there's more to this than he's letting on.

Before she can respond, the line goes dead. Robin let's her hand drop, her mind racing.
