章 30: You Remind Me of Someone

The chairperson is droning on about the company's expansion plans, but Robin cannot process the information. 

Her stomach is in knots, and she can feel a bead of sweat trickling down the back of her neck.

Suddenly, the meeting is adjourned, and Robin springs to her feet, desperate to put as much distance between herself and Malik as possible. She murmurs a brief goodbye to Emily, who looks concerned and hurries toward the exit.

As she moves through the crowd of shareholders, Robin's eyes dart around, searching for any sign of Malik. To her relief, she doesn't see him, and she quickens her pace, eager to escape the suffocating confines of the conference room.

However, just as she's about to reach the door, a familiar voice calls out to her.

"Excuse me?"

Her heart sinking, Robin turns to find Malik standing behind her, his brow furrowed in a mixture of confusion and curiosity.
